Misono is a family-owned Sushi, Japanese and Korean restaurant conveniently located on VFW Parkway in Chestnut Hill. We have been serving our loyal customers for almost a decade. Our sushi is well known for being the freshest and most reasonably priced in the greater Boston region. We accept nothing but the best when it comes to anything from our nigiri to our very creative Sushi Specials like the Hurricane and Dynamite rolls - customer favorties! In addition, our Japanese and Korean dishes are very authentic and portions are large. Our tasty and vast appetizers compliment your meal…

The Scene – Area couples skip nearby chain restaurant offerings and head to an unremarkable strip mall for fresh Japanese and Korean fare. Misono's dining room is awash in soft colors and usually provides an unassuming locale that's perfect for a quiet conversation. Pleasant servers ably explain the menu's more foreign items (Korean stir-fries, unique sushi offerings). Solo diners are well-served to grab a stool at the diminutive sushi bar and watch expert chefs slice away. – – The Food – Misono's sushi, unquestionably fresh and reasonably priced, runs the gamut from…
FABULOUS SUSHI
by mcheif at Citysearch
What a wonderful restaurant. I have been eating sushi at Misono every week for years and cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I have tried Oishi twice because I heard it was the best sushi in town, and I have been so much more impressed with Misono. Their sushi is always delicious, so fresh and always consistent. And the manager / owner (?) is always so courteous and friendly, they really make you feel like they value your patronage and want to ensure you enjoy the dining experience. if you are looking for a smaller, quieter place for a delicious sushi meal, try Misono. I love it.
- Pros: Excellent sushi
- Cons: Outside of downtown Boston
In Response to "Cheating Phone Orders"
by HancockVillager at Citysearch
I am an absolute food snob and recently discovered Misono after moving close by. The first time I tried their restaurant, I made it an telephone order to go. I can honestly say I have NO idea where the other commenter got the idea that people get cheated on phone orders! I got wonderful service and I have ordered food by phone multiple times and I have NEVER had a problem. Not to mention the fact that the food is great, the people who serviced my over the phone and the people who I talked to inside the restaurant are fabulous! Misono has great prices, really good food, creative dishes, and great employees. I am so glad that they are in walking distance from me, so I can walk off some calories before having dinner, stuff myself until I can barely move, and then I can walk some of it off on the way home! :-) The only thing I would recommend is calling ahead of time because even though they close at 10 P.M. Monday through Thursday, sometimes they start closing down at 9:30 if it is very slow. I got caught trying to make an order at 9:40 P.M. one night and they said they had stopped taking orders at 9:30.
- Pros: Great food, relaxing ambience, very nice employees/owners
- Cons: Sometimes they start closing earlier than times indicated on take-out menu
Hidden treasure...the BEST sushi!!
by NicEli1177 at Citysearch
I have been to many sushi restaurants and this is by far my favorite. I always order off the specials menu....the creative rolls are DELICIOUS....I highly reccomend the Lobster Explosion!! My husband and I try to get in at least once a week. We can bring our toddler and enjoy the great food and atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. The hostess is great and has gone out of her way to heat up food for my toddler that I had brought from home. If we can not make it in then we will order take out....which is also EXCELLENT. By far the BEST Sushi place around. MMMM.
- Pros: The accomodating staff, the inventive specials menu, the superior quality of food.
- Cons: none
