perfect eyebrows. i"ve been in boston for a while now and have tried many many places for the eyebrow waxing...and i would never be satisfied. I found some good places...but nothing great until I went to Leeba. I had my eyebrows threaded by rejina and it was great...finally, a good threading place in Boston! Leeba is a trek for me, but its worth it!

Eyebrow Threading. This was my first visit to Leeba Salon , 1024 Commonwealth Ave, Boston. I was looking for a place for eyebrow threading and came to know they do threading. Unfortunately I went on a weekend, when there was another lady for threading. She is from Nepal. I would suggest never to get eyebrows done by her if you want a natural look of the eyebrows. She uses thread but also uses the plucker most of the time. She treats your eyebrows as if its the grass in her garden and does it in a hurry and very painful manner. Finally when you see the mirror ...nothing is left except a very very thin and short line of brows.

Now I need to wait for 2-3 months to get back my brows.

Even if you tell her in advance, what you want, she doesnt seem to care at all. So she is not at all professional and does your eyebrows according to her, not your expectations. Anyone visiting this place for eyebrows please do not go on Saturday or Sunday when this lady is the only person to play unprofessionally with your brows and plucks and cut them all!!!!

Great experience. I recently went into the state st location and saw saliba and got highlights and brazilian keratin treatment in the same day and my hair looks fabulous for the first time. I got a great deal and the prices are great and affordable. I have never received so many compliments on my hair. It is very manageable and easy to style, has great shine. I highly recommend both the salon and saliba.

Very good coloring and highlights. I did my hair with Saliba, the owner, and had a very good experience. First ,he retouched my grey hair and then did the highlights on top. The color was a perfect match to my original hair color and the highlights were done in the right thickness and in a warm caramel hue as I have asked. I will certainly go back!

Good haircuts, OK coloring. I went here over the summer to take advantage of the color/cut special for $65. Ahmed was my stylist... he wasn't the best colorist (he had me pick from a book of hair color samples; formerly, my stylist in CT would take a look, listen to what I wanted, and provide me w/ an awesome color) and he seemed a little nervous doing the coloring and had to consult with other stylists for the coloring. However, he did an excellent job at cutting my hair! It looked fabulous when I was done. However, the thing I don't like about Leeba (and dellaria's, and any other hair salon near a university) is they take advantage of overcharging college students - even though the special was $65, they charged me extra because I had "long" hair (it was only an inch or two past my shoulders, how is that long?!). I referred my boyfriend to Ahmed, and he's been going to Leeba for almost a year now. He told me that Ahmed left, though - however, there are a bunch of great stylists there. I'm glad he's happy, but I wasn't overly impressed with Leeba's professionalism so I probably won't go back unless I'm desperate.

Charbel is an amazing colorist and hairstylist. Charbel works at two Leeba locations: Summer St in Downtown Crossing and Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton. He is one of the best hairstylists I've ever been to -- only in Europe have I had comparable haircuts. I've been going to him for several years and even though I've recently moved north of Boston and have a 4 month old baby, I still make the trip into Boston to see him. I highly recommend him -- I get so many compliments on my hair....he knows what to do!

they could not be better. I started going to 1024 commwealth location last year after moving from Europe. I have been doing highlights half my life but the magic that George does on my hair stands no comparison. I do high/lowlights every couple of months and even though I have discount at Marc Harris now, I am definitely not switching my hair stylist. When people on the street ask you where do you get your hair done, you know Leeba did a good job.

Luv u guys!

FABULOUS SALON, FABULOUS OWNER, (GREAT SALON FOR CURLY HAIR!). I am shocked at negative reviews Leeba Salon has received. I am a loyal customer and have been getting my hair done on a regular basis at Leeba Salon for almost eight years. I have never left the salon unhappy.

#1) The owner, Saliba Shako, is by far the most accessible and talented hairdresser I have ever met. I was a walk-in many years ago and very unhappy with my hair cut and its color. I have very thick curly hair and at the time, my highlights were a mess. I didn't need to say a word to him, he gave me a haircut and corrected my color - and I have been going to him ever since. I actually moved to Worcester for a few years, and still drove to have him do my hair. Saliba can be found in the various locations and always makes himself available to me at a moment's notice.

#2) the other salon associates go through a strict training regiment with Saliba. I have witnessed it personally as he does my hair with them. He is very firm with his technique and I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe that any of the associates are not up to par. I would have to problem having another associate work on my hair.

#3) the prices are to die for. Leeba Salon does great work at very affordable prices. They are good to the their customers and I never leave there feeling pressured to buy products or unhappy with how I look. It goes without saying that after so many years, I truly walk in to the salon and don't need to say a word. I always leave feeling beautiful.

I honestly don't think anyone should put any regard to the negative reviews. I am still shocked! I've always said that if Saliba moved his salons to another state...I would move along with them.

Denyse keeps it simple. I'm really surprised about the negative reviews for Leeba; I must have lucked out. I took advantage of that haircut & color offer Leeba always has posted outside their door and was not dissapointed with the results I received from stylist Denyse. I have curly hair and have had a series of tepid haircuts in "nicer" salons throughout Boston. Denyse gave me great highlights and an easy cut that I can literally just wash and go and always looks adorable. She is very laid-back and chatty. I found the front desk staff to be friendly and overall the two times I've been it's been a low-maintenance, cheerful affair with great hair results. For a pretty affordable cut and color that will look great, I would definitely recommend Denyse at the Brookline Leeba on Comm Ave.

Worst color job ever.. I have been coloring my hair for about 5 years now and this is by far the worst color job I have EVER received. I told the woman explicitly that I came in because of some discoloration at my hair line around my forehead. I get blonde highlights but for whatever reason around my forehead turns reddish between colorings. So I pointed this out as being my main concern and reason for the visit. After the foils came out and she washed my hair, the red was still just as profound. Noticeably upset, I pointed this out to her and she brought over one of the other hairstylists, George. He said he could fix it no problem. After he put foils in, washed and blowdried my hair, the area around my face was STARK blonde... like peroxide blonde and didn't match the rest of my haircolor. Leaving Leeba, I made an appointment at a better salon as soon as they could take me. I will NEVER go back to Leeba. They act like they know what they're doing so initially I had a lot of confidence in their ability but I'm kicking myself now for going back after a pretty awful haircut on my last visit.

The only thing I would consider going to Leeba for is their waxing... they are realllllly good with their waxing. But they will never touch the hair on my head again.
