Editorial Review for Anna's Taqueria – by Citysearch Staff

The Scene
With a lack of other bargain dining options in the area, this fast food Mexican chain enjoys an amazing volume of customers, most of whom are area students and young professionals in search of a quick, cheap bite. You have a good chance of landing a seat among the studenty crowd; service is friendly and competent, but less so when the line's out the door.

The Food
Anna's limited menu includes hefty burritos, gooey quesadillas and over-stuffed tacos; all are meals in themselves. The super burritos feature a choice of grilled chicken, tender pork carnitas, moist steak or grilled vegetables with rice, beans, cheese, salsa and hot sauce inside a giant flour tortilla. Weighing in well over a pound and costing under $4, this is one of the city's best bargains. The house salsa, chilled and cilantro-heavy, goes great with crunchy, warm tortilla chips.

The Extras

Sorry, senor: The restaurant serves no alcohol. If you really crave a Corona with your burrito, take it to go.

Know Before You Go

Be sure to fuel up on cash before you show up, as no credit cards are accepted. But don't despair: If you forget your wallet, you'll probably be able to scrounge up enough in your pockets for a taco.
