Well Done... All Around (Food, Beers, Atmosphere). Each time I visit the Mission, I enjoy it a little more. The place really has really come into their own. The food is very good. Never been disappointed. It is typically Pub Food with a pinch of sophistication. The burgers, fried calamari, buffalo wings...all good. Nice atmosphere. Some evenings (typically Thursdays)...it gets swamped with hospital staff (from the nearby Brigham & Women's, Children's, etc.). I would recommend avoiding those evenings unless you want to hang out with a boatload of people wearing scrubs. The beer selection is very good. Atmosphere is cool (new, clean, appropriately lit, etc.). Not to knock the "Pig" down the street (which I also enjoy), I find myself going to the Mission more and more often not only for the food but more importantly the atmosphere.

a little too casual. This place is running without a night manager; and it shows. Those fine points about service are being neglected during busy hours. Great place to get "bombed" if your a hippie Northeastern student or B.I. intern... that's about where the novelty ends. Go on a quiet lunch or off night during the week to enjoy a little better service that usually reeks of attitude.

Top notch beer, quality wine selection, awesome food, idal atmosphere. This Mission Hill gem is a hot spot for both Northeastern students and locals in the know. A high-end beer selection includes everything from domestic microbrews to Belgian Ales. The wine is well priced and wisely selected. The food will satisfy any culinary snob, but will also appeal to those with a more traditional appetite. The crowd varies greatly throughout the week but never seems to dissappoint. Whether you're a twenty-something college grad, or an eccentric local with a taste for exotic brews, you'll find something at the Mission that will make this your "go to" bar for a good time.

One of my favorite spots "The Hill". Living and working in the area I tend to drop by the mission regularly. The brunch is conveninet and I usually order the delicious mission burger or the tempura. The upscale ambiance is unique to the area. It has a college/young professional atmosphere. Great for evening cocktails as well. If there was one hitch in our last visit it was a pretty uncomfortable one, our waitress insisted on mentioning to my boyfriend that she used to be a stripper, and continued talking about bachelor parties. It seemed to be the topic of conversation with the guys seated behind us as well. She mentioned that she was brand new so maybe the exotic dancing didn't work out or perhaps she was looking for a bigger tip by divulging this information. Either way the topic seemed to upset some of the women in our vicinity and made for an uncomfortable night. But regardless I will be back for brunch and happy hour, but I will surely steer clear of the aformentioned situation. One oddball will not dissuade me from one of my favorite spots. I look forward to trying the pan roasted chicken ths week!
