Well Done... All Around (Food, Beers, Atmosphere). Each time I visit the Mission, I enjoy it a little more. The place really has really come into their own. The food is very good. Never been disappointed. It is typically Pub Food with a pinch of sophistication. The burgers, fried calamari, buffalo wings...all good. Nice atmosphere. Some evenings (typically Thursdays)...it gets swamped with hospital staff (from the nearby Brigham & Women's, Children's, etc.). I would recommend avoiding those evenings unless you want to hang out with a boatload of people wearing scrubs. The beer selection is very good. Atmosphere is cool (new, clean, appropriately lit, etc.). Not to knock the "Pig" down the street (which I also enjoy), I find myself going to the Mission more and more often not only for the food but more importantly the atmosphere.

a little too casual. This place is running without a night manager; and it shows. Those fine points about service are being neglected during busy hours. Great place to get "bombed" if your a hippie Northeastern student or B.I. intern... that's about where the novelty ends. Go on a quiet lunch or off night during the week to enjoy a little better service that usually reeks of attitude.

Top notch beer, quality wine selection, awesome food, idal atmosphere. This Mission Hill gem is a hot spot for both Northeastern students and locals in the know. A high-end beer selection includes everything from domestic microbrews to Belgian Ales. The wine is well priced and wisely selected. The food will satisfy any culinary snob, but will also appeal to those with a more traditional appetite. The crowd varies greatly throughout the week but never seems to dissappoint. Whether you're a twenty-something college grad, or an eccentric local with a taste for exotic brews, you'll find something at the Mission that will make this your "go to" bar for a good time.

One of my favorite spots "The Hill". Living and working in the area I tend to drop by the mission regularly. The brunch is conveninet and I usually order the delicious mission burger or the tempura. The upscale ambiance is unique to the area. It has a college/young professional atmosphere. Great for evening cocktails as well. If there was one hitch in our last visit it was a pretty uncomfortable one, our waitress insisted on mentioning to my boyfriend that she used to be a stripper, and continued talking about bachelor parties. It seemed to be the topic of conversation with the guys seated behind us as well. She mentioned that she was brand new so maybe the exotic dancing didn't work out or perhaps she was looking for a bigger tip by divulging this information. Either way the topic seemed to upset some of the women in our vicinity and made for an uncomfortable night. But regardless I will be back for brunch and happy hour, but I will surely steer clear of the aformentioned situation. One oddball will not dissuade me from one of my favorite spots. I look forward to trying the pan roasted chicken ths week!

great mission hill bar!. I went to the Mission for drinks with my friend and we ended up staying for dinner too! The menu is much better than the usual pub fare and we loved the burgers. The decor definitely sets the bar apart as more upscale than others in the neighborhoodbut the atmosphere is really casual with plenty of locals. The crowd was ranged from college students to people coming in for drinks after work (the Longwood medical area is just a few blocks away). A wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

Minimalist bar and grill aims to serve as a contemporary drinking and dining destination for the Mission Hill area.. In Short
Located in burgeoning Brigham Circle, Mission Bar provides the neighborhood with a suitable all-purpose hangout. The interior's lack of colors and decorations ensure that most patrons pay attention to the Sox game. The large bar area keeps local workers happy, thanks to its numerous drink options and large TVs. Area residents head to the rear seating area to dine of upscale comfort fare like chicken quesadillas and fish and chips.

Still trying to find a personality. Though the decor may be an upgrade from the Chopping Block, the atmosphere there leaves much to be desired. The service is less than prompt at the bar. On top of it, the bartenders seem to have an attitude and only nice to their friends. When I finally got to order a drink, the bartender made me wait some more and then, after serving some other people, came back to ask, "What was it you wanted again?" The clientele include a mixture of college kids from Northeastern and Wentworth and people from the neighborhood. There's nothing to recommend or disrecommend the bar because there's just not that much there original to work with. Everything from service to food is bland and cold.

Absolutely the Best Boston Bar. I love this place...Its trendy, the foods fantastic, and the staff is wonderful..its fabulous place to go monday through sunday. They have great food, not just your average pub food, burgers and fries yes but they offer gourmet dishes such as salmon & great pasta dishes. There is a great diverse crowd that floods the Mission from the young hipsters to the doctors who are leaving there shifts at the nearby hospital. Come to the Mission...you'll have a blast...Me and My family do every weekend!!!!

The Mission Grill is a Winner. My wife and I decided to check out the Mission last night. The atmosphere is really nice. Exposed brick and a spotless bathroom. Our server, Amy, was very attentive. I ordered a black and tan and it was perfect. Craving a burger, I decided on avocado and gorgonzola and it was succulent. My wives steak tips melted in your mouth, and the mashed pototoes were very tasty. I hope to become a regular. Every table was occupied, the bar was full and it was very comfortable with Beatles music pumped in. Overall, I give the Mission a thumbs up!
