I've never been treated so rudely.... I called for two days to find out how much a haircut was. The first day Manuel picked up and hung up on me. The second day I called back to find out and he immediately hung up on me again. Then, I tried again because I thought there was something wrong with his phone. He picked up the phone this time and told me it would cost me $200. He repeated $200 three times, then rudely hung up on me. I have no idea why he did that. I just found his number on the internet and called...

The real thing. Getting your hair cut at Manny's is a real cultural experience in addition to being a great inexpensive hair cut. Sit down next to a medieval suit of armor in this this red-painted basement barbershop and browse through books about everything from 50's pop culture to Vietnam to photojournals of the Kennedy family and the Mafiia . . . sort of the educated man's "People Magazine." Don't be surprised if you happen to be sitting next to a washed-up opera singer turned truck driver who occasionally breaks out into a heart-felt (and loud) aria, making the little boy waiting for his haircut next to him start to cry (not that it's always this rambunctious, it's usually very peaceful, just don't be surprised...). Manny will give you a great haircut, shampoo, scalp massage, and advice about your lady problems for the same price you would pay to get it cut by the pierced barbarian at supercuts. Go there. Maybe it will be the first genuine haircut you've ever had.
