“Nice people but the worst company I have ever dealt with”
worst appliances service everything total scam artists. Horrible Horrible Run away from this store ..they claim it is normal for a washer to break in two years with minimal use..ridiculous service ,blame everything on supplier for part replacement etc..if you want any appliance or anything at this store you are wasting your money..it will not last and they will not fix it properly...this store should be shut down..RUN RUN AWAY from this horrible store,customer service and everything..they treat you worse than a dog and you might as well throw your money away ..go to TOMA
Avoid this store at all costs. Kam Appliances is a store to avoid. Everything about our experience with them has been the complete opposite of what they profess in their mission statement . Poor sales department, the worst service department I've ever encountered, and when you try to resolve the problem, they act like it's your fault. Unless you want dishonesty, unbelievably poor service, and to be treated like a criminal, I would avoid at all costs.
Worst Repair Service Ever. I purchased several kitchen appliances from Kam thinking that it was a local company and the service would be good in the event that I needed repair service. Wrong! The fridge is still under warranty and stopped working a couple of months ago (and is still not repaired) I called for service and had to wait over a week for a tech to come out to repair. Found out that they only have 2 tech's that work for their repair service. They have been here 5 times over the past couple of months and the problem is still not resolved due to their error of ordering the wrong part, then they forgot to order the correct part which I found out two weeks later when I did not hear from them, then when the right part was in, the tech showed up without the part on his truck, then on the next visit they replaced the part and realized they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. The last tech here told me it would take 5 days for the part to come in...here it is two weeks later and they still do not have the part - over two months and still not repaired!
Top Notch Service - A+ For Kam Appliances.
I recently had an experience with Kam that I believe is worth communicating with everyone else. I was in the market for some new appliances and a new washer and dryer.
I went to Best Buy first, couldn't find anyone to help me even after asking 3 employees, who responded that they were in the wrong 'department.' Another customer walked by and asked: "Have you tried Kam?"
I did hear about Kam, but thought they were too high-end for me. But went regardless. I was surprised to find that not only was the selection way better, but the prices were competitive and in fact, less on some items.
Sean walked me through the process and took his time to help me select the right fridge, stove, dishwasher, and washer and dryer.
The best part was not shopping in this beautiful store -- instead it was the delivery. I've never had a smooth delivery before, but not only did they make sure the new appliances were in place, but they also helped move things around my room and made sure I was completely comfortable before they left.
Overall, A+ experience. I highly recommend shopping Kam.
I'm not big on writing reviews but after having an excellent experience with Kam and seeing these two reviews that were the opposite of what I ran into with them I figured they earned it.
My husband and I purchased a new home last fall and decided to update the cheap white appliances before we moved in. The salesperson at Kam was very helpful in helping us find the best appliances for us and didn't push us towards something we didn't need like some of the other places we visited. He was also upfront about the dishwasher not being in stock but we decided to wait the three weeks anyway because it was the one we wanted.
The delivery people were fantastic and we're very mindful of our just refinished wood floors. Without even asking them to they laid down cardboard the whole way into the kitchen. All the old stuff was taken away and we were excited to have our new stainless appliances in place, with one out of place white dishwasher lol.
A couple weeks later our dishwasher comes in and the installer they recommended to us brought it out and we finally had our full set of stainless appliances. Our kitchen looks so much better now and I couldn't be happier!
Now nothing in my life has gone this well so of course a couple months later I go to make dinner and my beautiful new stove is doing nothing but blinking a code on the display. Needless to say I was not a happy camper and as great of an experience as I had so far, the thought of dealing with Kam about it had me worried. Six months! I wanted a new range! The next morning I called my salesperson and in hindsight I have to say I'm impressed that he stayed calm and eventually calmed me down. It was still under warranty of course and he connected me with their service department to set up a time for a tech to come out and try to fix it. This was on a Tuesday and they had someone out to the house on Friday. I was a little upset that they couldn't get out sooner but I think my husband was happy to eat out for a couple nights (ny the way we really enjoyed the food at the Cabby Shack on the Plymouth waterfront, may have to suck it up and write a review for them soon as well)
Finally it's Friday and the tech comes out. I don't know if the range we bought is more popular or what but luckily he had also brought a replacement circuit board thing and was able to fix it in a couple of hours. I was happy to have my stove back and can't imagine the experience could have gone better or even as well with another store, especially one of the national chains. Everyone I dealt with from start to "finish" to AHHHH what's wrong with the stove to finish again (I hope) was friendly and professional.
I highly recommend at least checking them out if you're in the market for new appliances. I will definitely be going back to update the washer and dryer sometime soon.
TERRIBLE SERVICE - No customer focus. Shop at Sears or Toma.
Do NOT Shop here. We bought a new home in July '09 and spent about $10K also have had at least 5 visits for each appliance we purchased there which still are non working or still have issues they have not been able to fix;

They never come with parts and it takes weeks to get on their calendar because they only have 1 or 2 service people left on staff who need to drive up from the cape. It takes several service calls for even 1 issue as they call the mfr from the home to diagnose then need to order parts - they have no inventory of parts on hand. Even after several service calls on the same issue with a non working fridge or washer or dryer you get back at bottom of queue - there is no sense of urgency or escalation. Often the people cancel or miss the 4 hour service window significantly once you do get an appointment.
Washer is now not working again and we still have issues with the fridge.
The woman who answers phones from the cape is extremely rude and unknowledgable. The service manager is unsympathetic and does not go out of his way for customer satisfaction. I asked on round 3 of visits to just replace the appliances and they are ignoring my requests.
Nice people but the worst company I have ever dealt with. Don't be fooled by Kam. Once they make the sale they are terrible when things go wrong. We spent nearly $10,000 on appliances. One of them was speced wrong. KAM charged me a $350 service fee to exchange the range hood. They said they had to incur charges to inspect, repackage and reship the product back to Viking. The next day thay were installing the same range hood in their show room at my $350 expense. The latest is that our Bosch oven needs a part and we've been waiting for over 4 months. For 4 months we can't use our lower oven. We spent over $1900 on this oven and 1/2 of it is useless. Kam doesn't service what they sell. Do not buy from them.
