I reccomend Rich McKee as your moving consultant/expert. He did an amazing job organizing and preparing the estimate; being clear with cost and time allotments. He is quick to answer questions and willing to explain any and all concerns. He always has a smile and represents Rainbow Movers with class and knowledge that few people in the moving business can. Rainbow moved us in effiecent time with no overages in cost or damage to any of our things.

Excellent Senior Move Services. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers and we needed to move her to our home. We had no idea how to get her from MA to IL. We found out that Rainbow Movers offered a Senior Move SErvice. One of the owners, Erin, came in and did an overview and presented us with her assessment. She sifted, sorted, donated, and worked with my mom packing the things she was taking to her new home. She oversaw the move process, labeled and managed the whole transition. I would recommend anyone needing to move a parent to call Erin @ Rainbow Movers.
do NOT use this company..horrible. This is the delivery service in Boston for Restoration Hardware. There company delivered furniture to our new home, put an 20 inch deep scrach in my hardwood floors, and will not take any responsibility. Contacted there company, blew me off. Said there is no proof! No one else went in that room with any type of furniture but the delivery guys who completely struggled to get it up the stairs. The woman at the company..Johanna..is obviously the owners wife and just said not responsible. I have contacted Restoration Hardeware corporate, next will contact CEO. They should not be using a delivery company that treats their customers like this. Don't use..they are horrible!
Moving Mistake. We recently moved from Boston and from start to finish this was an awful process which continues today. The estimate of our stuff was short by a mere 30%, which ended up costing us a fortune which we weren't planned for. Second the packing was a disgrace, just throwing stuff in random boxes with absolutely no regard. They also left items behind with no apology and took twice as long as quoted to finish the job. The only thing accurate was our move in day, but they broke the frame of our couch and have ignored our claim for a month now, even though the movers recorded it. Please don't make the same mistake we made, there are better, even more affordable options.
Awesome, fast, affordable movers!! Yes, they do exist.. Great moving company!! I experienced fast and friendly service, and was very pleased with the entire process. The person who did the quote to move my furniture from one apartment to the other was very helpful and also gave me some great tips on how I can consolidate my items and the best method for delivery. The price was lower than other quotes I received and they completely worked around my schedule. The movers handled my items with care and I don't have one bad thing to say! I will definitely turn to Rainbow Movers again the next time I have to move.
Horrible Moving Experience.
We had a truly awful moving experience with Rainbow. We were given a date that our stuff would arrive (Aug 10) in LA about a month before we moved there from Boston. On July 27, the day the movers arrived, they told us it had been moved back to Aug 3 (only 5 days away!). We called Rainbow and they said "Oops, sorry." So we rearranged our lives and our cross country dirve around Aug 3. Then they called back a few hours later to say our stuff would instead be arriving between Aug 8-20. We said actually, we've changed everything to Aug 3, so let's stick with that. They said sorry, we've cancelled you off the Aug 3 truck, you can't get back on. So now we're faced with the prospect of everything not arriving until Aug 20 - almost a month away! Hello - we have jobs! We get another call a few days later saying our stuff will arrive on Aug 10. Great, that's awesome. However, when we get to our destination, we discover the truck won't be arriving until Aug 15, AND no one bothered to let us know, despite our call and emails asking them to check on it. So we wound up having to pay for a hotel for 5 extra nights because Rainbow either repeatedly gave us the wrong info or flat out lied to us.
Kicker #1 : The truck driver told us Rainbow never contacted him to specifiy if we wanted our stuff delivered earlier than Aug 15 (as our Rainbow contact told us they had).
Kicker #2 : When I spoke to the owner, he said they were sorry but it was our problem.
