I'll never know because I will never go.....

We recently moved to Wrentham and based on reviews we wanted to try Café Assisi.
After a long busy day and still one more errand to run we stopped by Café Assisi around 8:30pm on a Friday night. Seeing that they were open until 10pm we decided to run our last errand and come back finish our night with dinner. We returned at 9:05pm to find the door locked. We could see people eating inside. We called to find out why the door was locked and we were told “it was a slow night so we decided to close early”.
I can see 10-15min early on a slow night but when your hours are posted you do not close an hour early. Change the hours if staying open until 10pm is not profitable…unless it is a family emergency you do not close earlier than what you have posted.
Not customer focused…good food or not I won’t try going back.
- Cons: Not customer focused
Great Italian food in a tiny bistro setting
by birdznblooms at Citysearch
Fabulous pizza and take out, scrumptious veal and chicken dishes, nightly specials, pasta - pasta - pasta. Great food in a tiny place, so call ahead, order to go if necessary, or simply plan to wait for a terrific bistro-style meal. Located at the end of a tiny plaza, but there's plenty of parking. In the warmer weather you can sit outside with a glass of wine and wait for your table. The entire crew does a great job - from the cooking crew to the wait staff (thanks, Anna and Derek!).
Tasteful authentic Italian recipes

Great recipes.......limited seating, long wait but worth it. Reasonably priced, wonderful boston italian bread served (romana-style). I recently had Veal Marsala and couldn't finish the wonderful preparation in one sitting.....altho I tried to. I highly recommend this small cafe, but plan ahead for limited seating. Best option is to order ahead and take out: which I hadn't considered but I observed a steady stream of pickup orders. Cool pixs of Assisi and surrounds; nice atmosphere for a kitchen-side dining experience.
- Pros: great food
- Cons: small space;limited number of tables
