“The bowling was so much fun.”
“Bowling was a little pricey but the resonable food and drink made up for it.”
“I've had all the "best" burgers in Boston and would put this 2nd to the Four Seasons Bristol Bar Burger, at a fraction of the price!”
“The menu has become more diner friendly(especially since it's non smoking now in the lounge) and the staff is on top of things.”
“Extra points for the great looking bathroom in the restaurant.”
“Overall a great time and I will recommend Kings and return.”
“Our server in the bowling area was very nice and we never went without a drink for long.”
“honestly, you will have more fun and better luck at an out of the city dirty bowling alley where they have cheap beer and greasy bar food.”
“Our server in the bowling area was very nice and we never went without a drink for long.”
Nightly deals are awesome. Weekly nights are hooked up. I used to go to college night and bowl free on Tuesdays, now I go to Wild Wednesdays and bowl for $10. They have awesome Karaoke and Trivia nights too. Recently I heard someone talking about Kings. They said "This place is like Disney for adults". I don't know if I would say that, but it is pretty darn close.
21 Plus in the eye of the beholder. I was told my girlfriend of 4 years had a fake VT id, by the manager at Kings... she is 24, from VT, and was never shot down as a matter of fact. Because the manager went to UVM he denied her ID and entrance, an ID which check outs across the board ( I checked with ABC commission) and never apologized once for making a misjudged and far from astute decision on a real ID, on a wednesday mind you.... GO LUCKY STRIKE!!!
I like this place. This is a fun place. Been here many times, the staffs are nice, cheap drinks, and alot to do.
Billiards, Bowling and Boozing.
This place is a little overwhelming, but a good place to go if you get bored easily or can't decide between boozing, bowling or billiards. We arrived early enough on Friday evening to bowl without a wait, and had snacks and plenty of drinks during two games, despite wait staff that were sometimes difficult to locate. Later on in the evening, bowling seemed to require more patience but by then we had started to play pool.
It does get a bit pricey for bowling ($4 for shoe rental, $6.50 per game) but seemed like pool is a better deal ($14 per hour, which entertained a big group of us for quite a while). Not a cheap destination, but otherwise a fun place to go in the city.
Inelegant place and Uncivilized Staff.
The staff treats you like they are doing some kind of favor to us. They are rude and are not willing to speak to you like humans, Last night I went there with some guests. At one point two friends rolled in two balls simulataneously, then a guy with pierced ears came charging at us from behind the pin laying area. We apologised that we didnt know it was that big a deal and we did not break anything. But this technician guy called up a bouncer and forced us to leave or else he will call the police. I dont understand that if a person is talking peacefully, you have no professional duty to shout your lungs out in front of everybody. Although it was no big deal for us that we were gonna sue them or something but we all felt very humiliated.
I seriously doubt the managers hiring tactics.
I will NOT recommend this place to my friends
karaoke could be better. Great place for bowling even thought its pricey. The karaoke however leaves much to be desired. I found the host to be totally obnoxious but maybe i went on an off night.
old school fun made cool again. I went to Kings last night out of sheer boredom with my friends. We thought it would be funny just to go bowling like we used to do when we were kids. I had no idea how cool bowling is again. This place was packed last night! We got there around 8ish and went to get on a lane. There was a wait but luckily we didn't have dinner yet so the staff suggested we go into their restaurant and eat. Perfect suggestion. A hostess brought us over a very cool retro-y red booth and a server came over almost immediately afterwards. They had a bunch of specials but we just ordered off of their regular menu. I had the steak tips and OMG... they were so good. What do they marinate them in.... heaven? All of my friends tried something different and liked theirs too but they kept trying to steal my tips! We hung out in the restaurant for who knows how long, the time honestly flew by. Soon enough we were buzzed for out lane. We actually got one of the VIP lanes which was so cool... after all my friends and I are VIPs in our own minds. There was a server on the lanes as well. She suggested we try the fishbowl drink which was a scorpion bowl with my favorite candy - swedish fish. We played our allowed 2 games fairly fast but had such a fun time doing it while making fun of each other for every gutter ball we threw. This is definitely a cool place to hang out at. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Extra points for the great looking bathroom in the restaurant.
Great Parties. We had our daughters 13th birthday party at Kings last weekend and everything was perfect. I have to say, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the entire party went perfectly. The event coordinator at Kings took care of booking the party with me and was very helpful and professional. We showed up 15 minutes before the party started and we were greeted by the Kings manager and servers. They went through the flow of the event and had everything set up. The server who helped us was wonderful. She helped the kids, made sure we had everything we needed and cleaned up around us. The kids had a lot of fun. Kings has bumper bowling for kids, fun music videos and an overall fun atmosphere. I would recommend booking a party at Kings to everyone I know.
Great place to go!!. Me and my friends had a lot of fun at Kings on Friday night. The bowling was a long wait but there was a lot to do while waiting. They have 3 different bars, music videos, pool and other things. The wait flew by. I must say the one thing that stands out the most was the level of service we had from the staff. Everyone was very friendly and quick. Not at all what we expected. The food and drinks were great. We tried the Lettuce wraps because our server suggested them and we were impressed. Kings is a clean, well maintained place. We were there for about 4 hours total and I can't find anything wrong with our visit. I am getting a group together because I noticed they have Karaoke on Thursday nights in the lounge area.
Long wait but worth it. Saturday night a big group went to Kings to bowl and play pool. Everyone was impressed with the establishment. Nice TV's with the game on and a really chill lounge. The wait for bowling was very long so we had food in the lounge watched the World Series for a while and played pool and bowled later in the night. Reservations recommended. They have not 1 but 2 Buck Hunter Games and Golden Tee Live. Nice. It was much different than we expected. Nice that there were not little kids running around. They are 21 and over at night. Overall a great time and I will recommend Kings and return.
