Intimate Newton restaurant satisfies with top-quality modern Greek cuisine that's worthy of a city address.. The Scene
Scores of local families and couples fill the restaurant's tiny single room to sample the open kitchen's unique, Greek-tinged creations. On most nights the place is full--reservations are essential--and quiet conversations are out of the question. Casual servers do their best to refill breadbaskets (tasty grilled pita and focaccia) and water glasses.

The Food
A loyal clientele puts up with the restaurant's challenging layout to dine on large-portioned, affordably-priced interpretations of Caesar salad drizzled with tangy lime dressing, smoked paprika and jack cheese, and grilled salmon coated in lemon and garlic and served with smoky cannelloni beans and proscuitto. Most items, including stone oven-baked pizzas (smoked bacon, red bliss, caramelized onion and blue cheese is a typical variety), are large enough to share. An impressive wine list (standouts include a notably smooth Greek Chardonnay) is matched by equally-impressive desserts like apricot-cherry brioche bread pudding.

one of the best of the burbs. went there for early dinner, loved the upscale greek angle, prices were fair, food fresh, portions reasonable, we will be back!
