Great Ladies Night. So I saw a posting on craigslist for a Free 3 course meal at News Restuarant. I had been to News late night but I never knew they had a free meal every wednesday for Ladies. I was amazed that anyone would give away a free meal and there was a selection of steak, chicken or veg all of which was good (our table ordered one of each there was 3 of us) I think I found a new spot for me and the gurls on wed night!!!

Best Steak TIPS!!!!!. My friends kept telling me to check out News late night after I get out of the club (I moved here a month ago for school). So this past Friday I go to News at 2:30 and it was slammed!!!! I had the best steaks tips I had ever ate at 2:30 in the morning. Def beats pizza at some greasy late night pizza place! The best part was the plush leather couches and the hot people EVERYWHERE!!! I never saw so many pretty people in one room! On top of it all a few of the Patriots and Celtics were there def a great end to my night I can't wait to try ladies night this week!!

Second Worst meal of my life. got there, had to wait and listen to the incredibly obnoxious and sleazy host who made the most crass remarks to the women in our party. The dinner there is deplorable. Forty-five minutes after ordering, two people in my party got served, and then 10 minutes later, 2 others got served. They finally served the rest of our party 15 minutes later. Of course, the food was cold, tasteless, ill-prepared, uninspired, soggy and of course, undercooked! On top of all that, the service was SO STUPID. I don't expect my waitress to be a physics major at MIT, but our waitress was about as dumb as bricks.

BTW, the worst meal i ever had was at News a year ago.

Don't believe the hype. This place is terrible - unless you like overpriced, watered down drinks, terrible food, incopetent waitstaff and have too much money to spend.

lots of meatballs & i don't mean on the menu!. my friend suggested we check out this late night "hot spot" for a bite to eat. the 20-30 person line outside had a "see and be seen" quality to it with its fair share of greazey (yeah with a Z) entourages shimmering to the head of the line and talking their way past the velvet ropes.VELVET ROPES!?!?!.....once inside to make a long story short- the food was not worth the effort it took to get in, the service was slow....we had the worst table ( i was knocked in the back and shoulder 3 times by rushing waitresses ( i wish my own waitress had moved that fast!)...i could not wait to leave...and the best part was i left a 15% tip cuz frankly -the place sucks...and my waitress gave herself a 20% tip! your welcome!

Ladies Night. So my girlfriends and I went to News last week for Ladies Night. So we were greeted warmly by the Valet (5$ valet what a deal) attendant opening our doors. Then at the door we were greeted by a handsome man offering to take our coats..

We were then seated at the bar and had one of the yummiest mojitos I have ever had with great conversation from a bubbly cute lil bartender. We had a 15 min wait at the bar to be moved to a table in the front of the restaurant candles lit and plush leather couches surrounding us. Basically to sum this up great food me and my girlfriends had a well needed night out and all we had to do was pay for drinks a tip and valet!!! I will be back every week for our sex in the city night.

Ladies' Night = Waiting Room Wednesdays. Skip News' Ladies' Night!

"Free valet" = when you arrive, the attendant informs you that parking costs $10. As you are leaving, another insists that it's $5, explaining that their promo has changed even though their website still states that parking is free. "30-minute wait" = an hour or more. Overpriced drinks (and no, you cannot get tap water with dinner--you must purchase a $6 bottle). Deplorable service.

My friend and I spent an agonizing 2 hours at News and each spent $15, between our watered-down $8 gin and tonics, the mandatory bottle of water, and a mandatory 18% tip that is added to the bill (based on the entire meal) even though the blah meal itself was complimentary. Furthermore, this 18% tip is based on an exceedingly overpriced "retail value" of roughly $7 per salad (lettuce and onions) and $14 per entree (mostly carbs). Dessert? A cold, hard cookie.

There is no such thing as a free dinner!. My friends and I went to Ladies night on Wednesday for the advertised "free dinner" and "free valet." We were horrified after a "30 minute wait" where we bought several $8 drinks turned into 2 hours, to sit down to our meal at 10pm and then receive a bill for 18% mandatory tip on the price of the meal ($84.00 for 3 people) that we got for free. After drinking for 2 hours during the wait and paying the "tip" we were each out $35 bucks. To top it off the valet asked us $5 after he delivered out car. When we asked to speak to the manager about the "free valet" he insulted us by saying they forgot to take that advertisement off the web site but if it was a big deal to us, we didn't have to pay "even though we just got a free meal."

Excellent after hours. spot for the young and old. This place gets really busy after 2:00am. I recommend reservations but if you don't have them, try and get there before 2.

There are rooms that you can reserve that have couches and coffee tables for dinner or coffee. The atmosphere is excellent and the waitstaff is attentive and helpful. The food is spectacular as well. A great, classy, chic place to see and be seen after hours in Boston.
