“While the other stylists made sure their clients were comfortable, she was chatting it up with her other stylist friends.”
“Her shampoo was great, though, and the products smelled so yummy!”
“On the way out the receptionist was again rude and abrupt with me.”
“The prices are reasonable ($45 for a haircut and $45 for a single process color).”
“Before my fabulous new cut and colour I had long, straight, drab, damaged brown hair.”
Scalp got burned and started to flake after seeing Robert. If you have wavy, frizzy, dark hair, whatever you do, DO NOT get your hair colored by Robert, or even better, stay away from Marc Harris. A few days after my cut and color there my scalp started peeling off in chunks because he put sooo many different types of coloring products in my hair. He couldnt get the color right and kept trying different things, I finally had to put an end to it after the 3rd attempt. I also requested a haircut style similar to someone else who cuts hair at the salon and he proceeded to do something completely different. Horrible experience from the beginning (bitchy receptionist - he was on the feminine side, dark hair with blonde streets) to the end (horrendous color job + hair cut, burnt scalp, and lost $150 + tip and 3 hours of doing things to my hair). NEVER AGAIN!
Loving My Haircut!. I am so completely happy with my experience at Salon Marc Harris! I was a little late and the front desk was very understanding and quite friendly. I took advantage of the Cut-A-Thon for Childrens Hospital. What drew me there was that haircuts were $40 (cut a thon price) and I've wanted to go there for a while, so I figured this would be a great opportunity. I was pretty sure I'd get a great haircut but I was SO incredibly happy to get one of the best cuts I've ever had. Anthony listened to what I wanted and incorporated that into what he knew would be the best cut for me. I'm just blown away with this cut! He took his time with me and really helped me with styling tips. I'm totally sure I can replicate the style at home. I'm very impressed with Anthony and will be a client from here on out and gladly pay $55 for a perfect cut.
Found Chris Kishfy!!!!. I finally found Chris Kishfy, he is by far the best colorist around. Every time he does my hair I feel a million times better about myself and get more compliments than I can handle! He's now at Salon Navid at 63 Park St. Andover 978-470-4704. I have nothing but great compliments to say about him and the service that he provides!
Great price/cuts for a Newbury St. Salon. So it's not the most luxurious salon on Newbury Street, but for a high-end salon, the prices are fab. My aunt has gotten her hair cut for years by Yesi, and got me a gift card to try her out. I honestly felt a bit rushed by her, and she didn't try to talk to me too much. Her shampoo was great, though, and the products smelled so yummy! The cut itself was a bit more dramatic than what I hoped for, but I got SO many compliments on my hum-drum hair upgrade. For $45, it was definitely worth it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair!. I was new to the city in September, and when I needed a cut and color I came right to citysearch. I found Salon Marc Harris and called that very day, and they were able to give me an appointment that SAME night! I was thrilled. They set me up with JACQUI who is so nice and friendly and AMAZING! She gave me the best cut and color i have EVER had! The prices are reasonable ($45 for a haircut and $45 for a single process color). And I am short and always have a problem with the sinks when they go to do the wash, but the sinks here are adjustable for your height, and the chairs in the wash section as MASSAGE chairs! great! plus, there is wireless internet there if you need to use a laptop while your color sets... everyone seems really friendly, but i definitely recommend asking for JACQUI... she's the best (she's been there for years and works different days at both locations)...Go here and you won't be disappointed!
I'll never go anywhere else. I've been getting my hair cut and colored at Marc Harris for over a year now and I would never go anywhere else in Boston! Lisa is a whiz with the scissors...I always walk out feeling rejuvinated. The atmosphere is trandy, yet unpretentious...and always comfortable.
Super Soft Colored Hair - Best in Boston. I've been a bottle blonde for a while now, and when I moved from California, it took me a while to find a hair colorist/stylist. After trying a few other salons on Newbury St, I finally found David Feener at Salon Marc Harris. David is somehow is able to make my completely processed hair feel touchably soft and silky. Most people can't believe that my hair is acutally colored, because it looks and feels so healthy and smooth. Even other hair colorists are impressed by how light my hair is and how great the texture is. If you are interested in changing your hair color (or maintaining your new color), see David Feener so that you can have soft, unprocessed-looking/feeling hair.
Fashion forward, engaged stylist.... I recently relocated to Boston from the midwest and found myself flying back to Chicago to have my hair done...I did my research and thought I would give The Marc Harris Salon a try and made an appointment with Genevieve. IF YOU ARE NEW TO BOSTON AND ARE LOOKING FOR AN AWESOME STYLIST, GO TO GENEVIEVE! I cannot begin to tell you what a great experience I had! Beautiful color and cut...long or short! Genevieve is great! Well worth the cost.
Best hair color - David Feener. I am a model in Boston and get my color done by David Feener. Often, at modeling gigs, people will ask me who did my hair and I'll tell them the name of the salon that styled my hair for the event - but what they really want to know is who did my hair color. I'm not sure how David does it, but someone he is able to get my hair blonde blonde blonde without bleaching it - my hair couldn't be any softer that it is. He's also the best there is at color corrections, and often tells me about clients who come in with bad color situations and how he totally fixes their hair. For top notch color, definitely trust your tresses to David Feener at Salon Marc Harris.
salons competing for wrong titles. Why is that hair salons that can't win their own catagory pretend to be barbershops to win a title that doesn't belong to them..... this a licenced hair salon not a licenced barbershop.....i wish hairdressers would stop pretending to be barbers...two different schooling techniques and licences ..... lets keep it real!
