The Scene – The dining room, with its murals and tropical colors, makes for a delightfully upbeat yet calm atmosphere. That calm may not extend to diners' taste buds --there's a lot of spice on the menu. First time customer
by Citifood
I ran over to this place today for lunch for the first time. I have no idea how a Thai place can get Pad Thai soooo
wrong. It had to be the worst meal I have ever had the displeasure of paying for. You've been warned...save your money and your time.
- Pros: Now I know better than to ever go back
- Cons: food tasted like it came from a basement
Rude waitstaff that demands a 20% tip
by bostone22
Used to enjoy this place on occasion, but had a bad experience with a waitress who demanded a 20% tip. A friend and I paid individually and made an honest mistake. She could've pointed it out and asked if this was what we meant to put down. I would've gladly made the correction. Because she was demanding and rude about it, I was completely turned off and refuse to go back: There are better restaurants with polite wait staff who don't feel so entitled. Last i checked, tips were based on service and at the discretion of the customer.
- Pros: prices
- Cons: bad service
doable
by freewilly7
had better, but it's doable. prices are reasonable for a joint that's located in the middle of the city. still like penang's (chinatown) satay better, though.
:)
- Pros: fewer people = less wait!
- Cons: parking could be difficult
