Amazing Crispy Pad Thai!. We finally found a go-to Thai restaurant outside of the downtown area. I can honestly only speak to their crab rangoons and crispy pad thai because they are so good, I just can't seem to muster up the strength to order something different!! Definitely worth trying if you haven't been there already. Plus, being right in Coolidge Corner is a bonus. It's an easy area to get to.

Diners of all backgrounds make the trek for Northern Thai cuisine in comfortably Coolidge Corner digs.. The Scene
With its warm, inviting atmosphere and authentic Northern-style cuisine, Khao Sarn has changed the way many diners think of Thai food. Expect a varied crowd of students and local families. For those facing a wait--a common occurrence on weekends--the handsome bar serves up fruity alcoholic concoctions like velvety mango martinis. Quiet, respectful servers do their best to explain the menu's many unfamiliar dishes.

The Food
While the kitchen churns out dependable interpretations of Thai classics like pad thai and spring rolls, don't make the mistake so many do of passing up Northern Thai specialties like haw moak, a mousse-like dish that steams chicken, spices, coconut milk and curry paste in banana leaves. Spice lovers have several multiple-alarm curries to enjoy. Coconut-lovers must sample the kitchen's most popular dessert, mango-and-coconut-cream sticky rice.

Review on their pad thai. Be warned: the pad thai from Khao Sarn is VERY fishy!!! (the fishiest I've had in Boston...enough for me to sign up on citysearch just to write this review) For those of you who prefer a sweeter pad thai, I would not recommend this restuarant. However, I will say that the atmosphere of the restuarant was nice and the people were very friendly (we got the thai to-go).

Best Bar In Boston. I was a regular at Rod Dee, and decided to give Khao Sarn a try. That was 1 year ago. Since stepping into Khao Sarn, I have increased my standards as to what Thai Food should taste like. The food is always fresh and authentic, and the restuarant is always spotless, even when they are busy.

A must see is Noon (not sure how it is spelled), she is the most attentive bartender I have ever met. I think she is a mind reader, as she will never leave you hanging, and at least twice a week comes up with some unheard of creation thats out of this world.

If you think this post in not real, feel free to check me out sitting at the bar for happy hour on Wednesdays or Fridays from 4:30pm - 6:00pm

Fantastic Thai Fare. My father was born and raised outside of Bangkok. He rates restaurants according to how able they are to remind him of home. The crew at Khao Sarn did just that. Some traditional dishes that can't be missed include the Tod mun, Mee Grob, and the <Kang Palo>. The twin hostesses were exceptionally friendly. The service is polite and prompt. Save room for the mango and sticky rice dessert...another classic Thai summer dish.

Just another American-style Thai Restaurant. I don't find this place special or as good as it was rated. Food was not any different than other Thai restaurants in Boston. The place look cozy than other Thai restaurant I usually see. One thing that I didn't find at this place was a Thai welcoming atmosphere that can usually be found in any other Thai restaurant. Don't expect too much out of it, just OK.
