Worst Experience/Haircut Ever. I called to make an appt. during a charity event they were holding. All Services were half price (you get what you pay for). Thought this would be a great opportunity to check out this salon. When I made the appt., I specifically specified how picky I was about my hair and was told I was booked with Mandy, a Sr. Stylist. I was also told prior to getting my hair washed, I would get a consult with her. Well, after waiting over half an hour for my appt., they took me and washed my hair. When Mandy finally came over, she claimed she saw me on my way to the sink. Apparently not b/c I specifically told her I LOVED my length. She disregarded ANYTHING I has specified, chopped of 3 INCHES of my hair, screwed up my bangs so badly it will take months to grow back, and all the owner, Nick, offered to do was to "try" to fix my bangs, which when he saw them he said they just had to grow back on their own. He NEVER apologized for the amatuer cut/service I received, Mandy only spent a total of 15 minutes with me, NO ONE offered to refund my $91. I am sorry I EVER stepped into that salon. I recommend if you are considering trying out this establishment, save yourself alot of heartache and grief and go somewhere else. Super Cuts does a better job!

Shannon is Fantastic!. Just moved to the area a couple months ago and a co-worker recommended salon capri. The salon booked me with SHANNON - who is just lovely! She really listened to what I wanted and did a fantastic job! I've always been apprehensive about color and highlights, but wanted to try something different. I felt like she really took her time with my highlights and they came out great!! I've gotten many compliments on my new cut and color since then and can't wait to go back!!!

Poor quality and overpriced. After 2 years I just stopped going to Salon Capri for my cut and color with Nick, the owner. For the last 6 months the quality of the cuts has deteriorated.

Appointments for a cut with Nick are 30 minutes. During the appointment he spends 10 to 15 minutes cutting my hair and has his assistant blowdry my hair - all for a whopping $95. He spends too much time chatting with staff and solving salon issues during the 30 minute appointment. He no longer offers any creativity. The last two cuts were terrible. After my recent color, it washed out after 1 week. I don't recommend the salon. They have overextended and forgotten about delivering quality and value to their clients.

awful service!. I got a haircut here from the owner of this salon and it was a really bad experience. He didn't listen to what I wanted and treated me like I was invisible the whole time I was there (he conversed with staff and other customers right over my head as he was cutting my hair). He barely spent any time making sure the cut was even and as a result, I had to re-cut my own hair when I got home just to even it out! The atmosphere was snooty and they treat you like you're a nuisance to them. I would never go back there again, especially considering how much they charge. Really bad vibe!

Margaret is FABULOUS!. Margaret is FABULOUS! This was my first visit to Salon Capri in Newton. A dear friend gave me a gift card because she has been going to Margaret for almost 20 years and cannot rave enough about this amazing stylist. I was very nervous since I have longer hair and always fear stylists cutting it all off. Margaret was amazing, I have never in my 46 years had a stylist give me their undivided attention for 1 1/2 hours, maybe more. She cut & styled my hair so amazing when I walked out of the salon I looked like a TV anchor, flawless but not overdone. So good that two different men on near the salon tried to strike up a conversation with me, as a conservative, married, mother of 2, that "never" happens - IT WAS THE HAIR!!!!

Candyce is the best esthetician in Boston!. Candyce is the best esthetician you could ever hope for. She's extremely professional, does a perfect job every time, makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease, and really cares about her clients. Waxings are pain-free and easy. I won't see anyone else!

Great color!. Salon Capri is a little piece of heaven in Newton!! This high end salon has everything newbury has to offer, but BETTER! The prices were reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I had my hair highlighted and it has never looked better! A+!

Best Hairdresser in Boston!!!. I would just like to say that I have found a new hairdresser, and she is amazing!!! Blanid from Salon Capri in Newton is top notch!! I have never felt more comfortable and trusting in a hairdresser chair before I met her. Always am happy with the result. So happy, will never find a new hairdresser again!!

Candyce is fabulous!. I've had my brows waxed and designed by others but no one compares to Candyce. She is amazing! Her attention to detail means my brows are perfect every time...she goes the extra mile of trimming and shaping if needed. Her facials are great! She really knows skin. My skin is very sensitive and I am also acne prone...Candyce was able to clear up my skin with facials and recommended products. Her facials are a bargain at $85 for 75 minutes...I've paid over $125 for 60 minute facials in the past. I don't trust anyone else besides Candyce to work on my face and brows?Candyce is a must see!

great salon. My girlfriend goes to this salon and has been for a while. She convinced me to get a hair cut there. I've never been inside a salon before so I wasnt sure what to expect. I absolutely loved it, and I will never go to a barber again. Thanks salon Capri.
