If you need a fast meal and are in the mood for something unhealthy, then Nud Pob is the place to go. It has pretty good Pad Thai and Fried Rice dishes. The food is prepared with amazing speed by two guys with giant wok's just behind the counter. I think the longest I've ever waited, even on a busy day, is probably 5 minutes. The only con is that the food is definitely not healthy. It can be a bit too greasy or fried, and it can be hard to eat too often. Still, it is a great spot for the occasional quick meal.

Nud Pob is a great little hole-in-the-wall thai food place right on Commonwealth ave. The staff is super friendly and most people eating there are BU students. It's a great price for some fast thai food. Get the pad thai if it's your first time.

Located on Boston University's campus, this restaurant isn't much to look at inside, but the food and prices can't be beat. I used to eat here way more often than I should (I LOVE NOODLES, but too many carbs) when I went to BU. I lived about 20 feet away and would run to Nud Pob in my pajamas in the snow. They give you lots of food and most dishes are under $10. If you like noodles, try the Star Noodles. My favorite dish was the pineapple fried rice. I live in Thai Town now in Los Angeles, and I can't find any Thai food that's as good as Nud Pob. The people are friendly and are all Thai, including the cooks, so you know you're getting the real thing. Free hot thai tea while you wait. Can eat inside, but dining area is really just folding tables and chairs, so don't expect much of an ambience. Usually pretty crowded. Expect to wait in line behind a few people for takeout.
