Go somewhere else!.
Horrible store, I bought my wedding dress there 7 years ago and they lost it Bride's worst nightmare right! When they found it they tried to shove all these alterations down my throat ( as if I would leave my dress there again!) When I heard my Sister in law was getting the bridesmaids dresses there for her wedding I tried to talk her out of it but I couldn't.
So far 2 people with the same name have had the wrong size ordered. I picked up my dress and they gave me someone else's the dress is way to long when I called to complain about the mixup the girl said where higher heels because she wouldn't waste the money on a hem......
Wedding dress hunting ground for real-world brides on a budget. Princesses need not apply..
In Short
A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.
Just compare to the high end stores!. My daughter has bought several prom gowns here. As for concerns about material and design, just visit Saks, Bloomingdales and other high end sites and you will find cheap shiny polyester, and tacky designs. For huge selection and some very beautiful designs, this is the place. Any place that provides so much style for under 200. is OK by me!
Good for bargain hunters. Lower end quality materials, but pretty dresses overall. If you are shopping on a tight budget, this is probably a good option. The advantage David's has is that they carry the dresses in so many sizes, so you can try on gowns that actually fit you. It is a great place to try on all the different styles of gowns to get a real world idea of what will be most flattering on you. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but a little pushy (not too badly though) near the end of your session as they hint about closing a sale. They really aren't as pushy as I might have expected though. They often will spend far longer with you than they indicate (an average session is one hour) and really help you try on things you never would have considered. You might be surprised with what you end up with.
