Best ARMY & NAVY Store Around.
I was so impressed upon walking through the door of GI Joe's Army & Navy Store. I have gotten to know Chuck and Diane and they are always helpful. The owner, Wayne, is often walking around talking with veterans and working on the window displays. This man has a wealth of knowledge regarding military surplus. He has taken great pride in building that business from the ground up and it shows.
I began my journey walking past the cash register and into the aisle that has thousands of military patches, decals, coffee mugs and military pins.
I love that they carry military Christmas ornaments. My father was in the Army and we hang our ornament year after year in rememberance for the time he served.
As I follow the yellow arrows towards the back of the store, I sort through the winter hats and military embroidered baseball caps. I love the Dri-Duck sweatshirts and coats, Magnum and Condor boots that they offer.
The amazing memorabilia that adorns the store throughout brings about emotions while entertaining me much like at a museum.
The custom made dog tags, air soft guns, posters, flags, camping gear and even cute women's underwear are all reasons why I shop here.
No matter what time of year, GI Joe's is a place I go to shop for quality items. I always feel a little sentimental when I leave and like in some way, I am showing my patriotism by shopping here.
It's rare to find these stores anymore...
15 years ago, there were military surplus stores everywhere you turned..
The fact of the matter is, is that WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam military surplus is very difficult to find nowadays. - For the collector, I'd strongly suggest this store, I found a very good selection of things that were almost forgotten, USA made field gear is probably the most durable stuff you could have camping, or hiking.
This store kept me busy for an hour and a half just looking through the piles of their stock, and the prices are reasonable- some things are charged way below, and some things a little over the top- but its based on rarity, and availability,- Its really too bad these surplus stores are disappearing, take advantage of this place while its still around !
Great Service and price for paintball equimpent. I've been looking for gear for paintballing and found German camo Jacket and pants for 9.95 each and matching gloves for $4.00 The lady was very friendly and would recommend the place.
Rude employees, terrible and overpriced selection. I bought a few pieces of clothing to wear for Halloween because I could not come up with anything good to be. A few days later I bought a box costume from elsewhere that was much cheaper, thinking I could return my items to GI Joes. Upon attempting to return my purchases less than two weeks later the employees were rude and pointed to an obscured sign saying no returns and no refunds. Then the manager proceeded to yell at me for my insistence on getting a refund. I left the store with the same junk I went in there to return, glad that I will never have to deal with them again. I recommend you stay away as well. There are plenty of Army navy stores that have far better merchandise elsewhere.
