castello restaurant jamaica plain ma. We just visited the Castellos',had a dinner(humbergur was OK),nothing great,but my complain was the service.MY God,what a terrible experiace:We walked in,NOBODY was there to greet us or to tell where to seat.FINALLY! a young woman yelled from the other side of bar and told us to sit wherever we want.We took our sits close to TV(Nice Tv's all over the restaurant )the same young lady came to take our orders,which we did,brought our meal,hamburger was OK,but the fries were offull.She never came back to ask us if we need anything(A glass of water would of done).We ate and were ready to leave,but there was no where we could find that waitrees or anybody who would give us the check.We felt,like to get up and leave.We had to go to the bar and ask for the bill.

Well, we didn't enjoy our meal and especially the service at all.I will never go back there.

Eat the wings, not the chili. And watch the game!. I'd like to be clear and say that I really like Costello's. Their wings/chicken fingers are awesome, the burgers are good, and they have a really good tv to square footage ratio so this place is perfect for watching the game. A good cross-section of JP goes here, so if you are uncomfortable around townie guys or women who love women (citysearch won't let me use the L word!), steer clear. And go back to wherever you're from- cuz that's JP! Good beer selection, excellent pub fare (except for anything containing the chili) and an unbeatable juke box. But like I said, go here to root on the Pats or Sox because their tvs are better than yours.
