In Short
In the wee hours, the strong smell of Peet's Coffee lures sleepy morning birds for their first caffeine fix of the day. These "Peetniks," the nickname dubbed to loyal customers, can be found reading the paper or chatting amicably while chipper baristas to brew a fresh, quality cup of joe. Originating in Berkeley, California, this coffee shop roasts and ships all 32 of its flavors daily to ensure the freshest beans available. Speciality blends, latte drinks, and iced beverages are all offered, each with the signature taste from their artisan roasting facility. However, coffee is not the only forte that Peet's has to offer; as its moniker incurs, there is an assortment of teas to choose from as well. Delectable baked goods are available to pair with your java, and the coupling just might convince you to join the cult of Peetniks.
Best Coffee I've ever Had. I've never sat down here for coffee but I am a regular of buying whole beans to bring home. I've always had very very friendly service (often the same fellow who is professional and friendly) and when I get my pound to go I also get a cup of whatever is brewing to wet my whistle. Hands down the best coffee. I am a truly addicted Peet's fan and will continue to be.
A Taste of Home. Whenever I am in Boston and am missing the San Francisco Bay Area too much, I go to Peets. This Berkeley coffee institution is what Starbucks was modeled after. The owners were San Francisco Bay area residents who moved to Seattle and modeled it after Peet's and the rest is history. Great Northern California ambiance, great coffee (much better than Starbucks and, goodness sakes, Dunkin Donuts) and pastries. I love Peet's!
The real deal.
Being an original Coffee Connection employee I was crushed when George moved on. Peet's defnitely fills the gap. The staff is super knowledgable when it comes to beans.
Professional and on the money. They rock.
I just don't get why Starbucks is so popular. Their coffee is really poor quality compared to Peets. Maybe it is because there aren't enough Peet's. [Hint Hint]
By far the best. Peet's is definately the best. Before it was in Boston I mail ordered. Too bad they took it out of AuBonPain. Fills a hole that was left by Coffee Connection!!!
Perfection. Simply put, the best coffee anywhere -- if you like dark, rich coffee. Among the few locations throughout the Boston area, a more consistent cup of coffee cannot be found. Even the decaf is astoundingly rich and flavorful -- never bitter. A bit pricey, but cheaper than a trip to Seattle -- and a little tastier! If only Starbucks would sell 1/2 their stores to Peet's....
best coffee in town.
Their Italian roast is SO delicious!!! I love its robustness and flavor. This is a great pick me up in the afternoon.
They also sell great loose tea. My two favorites are the Yin Hao and Jasmine Pearl Downy. I have both kinds at work and brew throughout the day.
the coffee. Workin the Big Dig has it's moments so as a cop I get thirsty so I stop my the coffee house in the city "Peets"
Go Juan Valdez!. Best coffe in the universe. Doesn't upset my gut like other coffees. Incredible lattes.Good service.
peet's is bitchin'. Peet's is the only chain in town that employs people who love coffee.
