Don't expect to see the city of Boston's own hand-drawn American LaFrance Ladder Truck, circa 1860, or fully restored 1945 Ward LaFrance pumper (Engine 54) barreling out of this retired firehouse. The artifacts and exhibits housed inside this unique brick building, on the National Register of Historical Places, have earned their rest. Operated by the volunteer Boston Sparks Association, the museum features exhibits on antique fire apparatus, fire alarms, photo displays and fire fighting equipment.
