A Highly Recommend!!!. So I just finished up the bartending program over at Drinkmaster, and I had to write SOMETHING to commend the school and they're awesome staff on really exceeding my expectations.

First off, if you haven't been to one of their locations and your considering the course, you should really stop by. The place feels like a real bar. It's modern, has a great energy, and the entire place is pristine.

I wasn't really sure of what to expect at first. I kinda figured the class would be lots of lecture and note taking, not at all the case! The class is EXTREMELY hands on! I was behind the bar learning tricks of the trade from day 1, and by day 4 I was whipping up cosmos and martinis like a pro. Over the course of 5 days, I was taught by 3 very different instructors, all bringing a different perspective and style to the table. The instructors very passionate about their craft. They definitely challenge you and keep you on your toes, but they're also very approachable and eager to assist if you feel lost (I tend to look lost even when I'm not).

Another thing I loved about the program is the fact that I was able to practice before and after class, as well as come back for refresher courses - for FREE - at any time. Its almost like having a membership in a way, which was totally unexpected!

Finally, the staff seems genuinely invested in helping me to find a job. The one-on-one job coaching (also unlimited) was truly impressive! I spent nearly an hour sitting down with one staff members who fine tuned my resume and coached me for my upcoming interviews - turns out, he is the school's owner! I was so impressed, and I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone interested in starting a new career. I can't wait to start working and putting my skills to use.

Make sure you read ALL reviews you can find. I am giving Drink Master a 2-star rating because I have only had minimal interaction with them thus far, by phone and e-mail. I was very interested in taking a class with them, especially after reading so many reviews about how graduates got help finding jobs after finishing the course. But I did my research and dug deep to find as much info as I could and there is definitely someone planting reviews about Drink Master on here and other sites.

I know this because I came across a review I thought I had read before about someone supposedly getting 3 job offers and choosing one over the rest. I checked both sources and realized only the bar and city were changed but the review was the same, word for word. See for yourself.

If you search for "drinkmaster bartending richard brickhouse" in google and look at the review under the 2nd link, on Oct 15, 2010 a user named "richard" posts the same review that user "ispitsparks" posted here on 2/25/09, only the restaurants they both got jobs at are changed. Many of the 5 star reviews are posted consecutively on the same day - also very sketchy.

At this point, I don't know what Drink Master is really like because I haven't taken a class but I would warn anyone who is considering taking their class to check them out in person before making your decision because there is without a doubt some suspicious and dishonest reviews going on on their part.

Come see me bartend!!!. Just finished up the DrinkMaster course. It's sooo much more than you can imagine. The teachers were so enthusiastic. To prove my point, I just got a job at Haru in Boston Come on down and see me.

The manager knew DrinkMaster and the rest was easy.

Best thing I did all year! Check out DrinkMaster, they're simply the best!

I'd like to say.... I see many people are posting reviews for DrinkMaster. Reviewing a company is not something I usually do. But I think I can safely speak for my fellow classmates that the DrinkMaster instructors went above and beyond for us. I just felt compelled to say something as they took such good care of me. It's the least I can do.

As close to the bar as it gets. I was so impressed when i first walked into the door at DrinkMaster Bartending School. The atmosphere was set so much like an actual bar and when i was performing drink drills, I felt what its like being a real bartender. If you live in the Boston area and are looking to take bartending classes, go with the pros down at DrinkMaster.

Just Graduated. I have to say I really enjoyed DrinkMaster's Bartending course...the environment is really fun and it is set up like a real bar. It is very hands on and very informative. The scheduling is super flexible too, and they really are there to help. The music is great, and the instructors were so encouraging. I am glad I took the course, and can't wait to start bartending in a real bar!

Great bartending school. I loved Drinkmaster Bartending school the instructes are knowledgeable and fun and you learn so much in just a short amount of time. I was sad when my class was over because i wanted to go back again and again! The Catering 101 is also fun and easy and I didn't want to leave that class either!

I had an amazing time!. I was so impressed with DrinkMaster Bartending School. At first i was nervous about bartending, but after graduating, i feel so comfortable! I enjoyed the authentic bar set up. I wouldnt have been able to get the same experience anywhere else. It is so great that they offer free refresher courses too. I've been going back everyweek just to master the details.

Just began my bartending job!. I just got hired at the Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge a week after I took the bartending classes. I had three job offers but decided to go with this one because their bar has a good reputaion. DrinkMaster really helped me pull my resume together and even tolled me with some good places to apply to. Thanks DrinkMaster!
