Confusing shopping experience
by mjjohnson05 at Citysearch
I went to the shop to buy fashionable frames and tinted lens. i coukld not find frames i wanted, one pair that looked ok were to small for my face. A clerk wanted to know if I had my perscription, I felt undecided, I did not want to buy frames because I thought I could make a better selecetion elsewhere.
- Pros: Shop looked impressive
- Cons: Frame selection not large enough

Best eye glass store EVA

Eye Q in Harvard Square is wonderful. They take the time to fit your face with the perfect glasses. They are honest, fun, helpful and know the styles that are right for your life and look. I will never buy glasses anywhere else. Paul is the best, but everyone that works at the store will only be helpful and get you the glasses you love, they won't let you settle for less.

Cool frames, good service, good eye exams

I've been to Eye-Q (Harvard Square branch) several times over the last 6 years. Their frames aren't cheap but they are in nice styles and seem well made. I've been very impressed by the eye exams given by Dr. Luria there.
I had problems with my last pair of glasses (progressive lenses) that I think were basically caused by a bad prescription (the prescription was not from Eye-Q) but the staff and Dr. Luria worked hard to get everything fixed up and the glasses are great now.
- Pros: nice glasses, helpful staff
- Cons: not cheap!
Great customer service!

I recently bought a pair of glasses from Eye Q in Harvard Square and I their customer service was superb. They go above and beyond what is expected. I found a frame I liked in less than 15 minutes not only because they have a good selection of glasses, but also because the person helping me knew what looked good and what didn?t with my facial features and had a good feel of my personal taste after trying out a few frames. I had only left my address but not my phone number with them, so when it was time to pick up my new glasses, they couldn?t contact me. The lady that works there looked me up in the phone book and also called 411 to track down my home phone number. I didn?t expect them to put in such effort to try to contact me! I ended up having to have my lenses redone twice because of a very badly written and vague prescription from UPenn Ophthalmology. Paul, the optician, was fabulous. He helped me with the redoing process and he was more than nice even when I brought my glasses in to be fixed for the third time. Everyone in that store is friendly and professional, and I have never had better customer service buying glasses.
- Pros: Friendly and professional staff, good selection
- Cons: Parking
