“especially loved the tasty lamb in a wrap with the hummus, and I took to asking for a couple falafels added - and it eventually became its own menu item - the "Special”
“It's hard to find good falafel but this place has some good falafel.”
“The King was incredibly friendly, and was amazing to watch how fast he could whip up your order while taking the next and add the friendly talk as well - he was never in a bad mood.”
“In addition to tasting great and being a fantastic value, the sheer volume of food served at Falafel King is too large for me to eat in one sitting.”
Best falafel in Boston. I love the falafel plate here. The falafel is in top five falafel I've ever had, and I'm a falafel snob. The plate comes with rice, hummus, and a salad. All good, but nothing is as awesome as the falafel. I wish I could eat here everyday.
I miss it.... I used to work at Downtown Crossing for years, and the Falafel King became an addiction. He makes few things, but they are all delicious. I especially loved the tasty lamb in a wrap with the hummus, and I took to asking for a couple falafels added - and it eventually became its own menu item - the "Special". And the falafels alone dipped in hummus were delicious themselves. The King was incredibly friendly, and was amazing to watch how fast he could whip up your order while taking the next and add the friendly talk as well - he was never in a bad mood. He truely appreciates his customers.Note that the title says "Restaurant", but save a small standup bar, this is a takeout place - for indoor seating, take it over to the Corner Mall, or on a nice day to the nearby Common and enjoy.
Makes two meals!. In addition to tasting great and being a fantastic value, the sheer volume of food served at Falafel King is too large for me to eat in one sitting. As a result, I end up bringing it home and my husband has a small, but filling, meal for dinner. (I bring Tupperware to work on the days I eat there!)
A Must Eat!. Falafel King serves up great food very reasonably. Know what you want when you get in line because it moves fast and they are on a mission to serve. Though not in a Soup Nazi kind of way. The ONLY downside is that they lack a seating area. That's fine when the weather is nice and you can picnic in the common, but not when winter sets in. Also, check out their breakfast... fast, cheap, and delicious!
