The Scene
In the heart of the historic Sweet Auburn district, this welcoming little spot could be overlooked among the flash of the area's attractions. Hard-to-find original LPs cover the walls, beneath which stand a row of new CDs that follows the length of the store. If you have trouble with patois, bring a translator because it feels and sounds like Kingston in here.
The Goods
This is the place to go for hard-to-find Jamaican music as well as today's hip-hop and R&B. Rebel carries a huge selection of CDs and LPs, plus an extensive collection of underground cassettes mixed by local DJs. You can also purchase incense, T-shirts, posters and various Jamaican paraphernalia.
