The Scene
As the state's oldest and largest winter sports facility (employing 250 workers), 53-year-old Mohawk draws a mature crowd of longtimers.
The Slopes
With a vertical drop of 650 feet, its 23 trails are split between 20 percent expert, 20 percent beginner and the balance intermediate. Skiers will find variety as well as challenge. Consider this when wondering about conditions: Mohawk invented snowmaking. The four double and one triple chair lifts operate day and night to most of the 107 acres of terrain. Fourteen of the area's trails are open for night skiing.
