Terrible Managers – Went for my first anniversary...Sat down wine spilled all over my pants, shirt, and tie. Asked server if they could take care of glass of wine that ruined my clothes. Manager told me he couldn't help me, but he would get me some club soda. Server was terrible asked us three times if we had been there before, and asked us four times if we were going to a show. When we told him the third time we were not going to a show he told us he had tables that were going to a show and left us waiting for a half hour. I would not recommend this place to anyone who appreciates and values good service. At least food was good.
What We Expected...And Much More! – We arrived with plenty of time to spare before the curtain rose at the theatre which was just a block away. We were seated promptly, and the service was great! The steaks were absolutely mouthwatering and the chocolate lava cake was the grande finale to an absolutely great dining experience. This was our first visit to Flemings and we will definitely be back with our friends.
great steak - headphones needed – This is a great spot if you want to dine with friends or co-workers but not a date place at all. It is very noisy and even though I had a reservation, we still had to wait 25 minutes to get seated. Our meal took 2 hours and 45 minutes for 2 people and we were put in the back room next to a table celebrating a birthday. They were very loud and rude when we asked them to bring the noise level down. On the food side, the steak was one of the best I've had in boston. I would definately recommend the Filet. Drinks are expensive - bill should run about $50 a head.
Amazing! – Flemming's is one of the best restaurants I've been to, and I suggest everyone go there at least once!!
yum – as a vegetarian i was hesitant to go to a steak house, but my date insisted we check it out. i had the grilled veggie platter which wasn't really spectacular, but the salad and dessert were. he said his salmon was good, but i wouldn't know. :) his cheese plate was delicious and had cards identifying each cheese. the wine list is amazing here - 100 by the glass. i had a glass of pinot noir and he had a riesling - very good recommendations from the wine manager. for dessert we got the berry cobbler and the chocolate lava cake. they were both incredibly rich and delectable. we would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
WOW! – Absolutely, positively an incredible first visit.
A quiet back room with deep cherry panelling...
A knowledgeable, friendly waiter (Andrew) ...
The appetizers (Carpaccio, Baked Brie, and Shrimp Cocktail) - outstanding. The side dishes (Parmesan Peppercorn Creamed Corn and Fleming's Potatoes) - so delicious we barely had room for the entrees.
My Ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection and was so tender it practically melted on the fork. At Andrew's suggestion, my wife had a small Filet *and* a half-order of King Crab Legs, also perfect.
And finally, dessert. Ah, dessert. Mixed Berry Cobbler. Best cobbler I've had since J.C. Hillary's closed down!
Naturally, with all this food, we had leftovers, but since we were going to the theater, we had a doggie bag problem. Andrew solved it by putting them in the refrigerator, and we came by after the theater to pick them up!
We'll be back.
awesome steak and veggies – The steaks are done to perfection and the side dishes are prepared to order including sautéed spinach unlike any I have ever had before. Almost like each individual baby leaf was sautéed individually seasoned to a mouth watering excellence. The mushrooms, potatoes with jalapenos, baby asparagus with hollandaise, are perfect compliments to any steak of this quality. One of my "must eat at" whenever I go to Boston!
Top notch – My wife and I have been to most good places in Boston and absolutely loved Flemings. It is great all around and we could tell that there had been great attention to detail with food, scene, drinks, etc.
Excellent cocktails, wines and steaks were amazing.
Better value then many Boston restaurants as well. Highly recommended.
Fantabulous! – Flemings is the most phenomenal dining experience. The food is delicious and well worth the price. Atmosphere and ambaince are priceless. . .the very pleasant and knowledgeable staff makes your dinner that much more enjoyable. . .the wine selection includes evry type of wine you copuld imagine. The new management has done a great job. I would vote Fleming's the best find in Boston!!!!
Excellent – The food and service were great. The only problem I have is with the GIANT size of the side dishes. They are alacarte and the broccoli I ordered were actually 2 very large heads of broccoli. No not the small pieces you are familiar with. The actual size of 2 broccoli plants. Huge!
I didn't think it was necessary to serve that much food. Most of it went to waste. I just hate waste!!
