Never go there again!!!. The waiter is very rude and mean, and service is bad. They only have cheap and spoiled foods. I will never go there again.

Stop complaining about the White Horse bouncers.. This is to address all the people complaining about the bouncers.

No. I do not work for The White Horse, but can understand where they are coming from, having been a bouncer myself.

1. The bouncers have a job to do. It is not to be nice to you.

It is to keep the owner from being in court, because of underage drinking, or safety reasons inside.

2. Most bouncers will be quite friendly if you actually talk to them and even possibly befriend them.

3. Know this ? the owner(s) does not care what the bouncers say to you. Calling up and complaining will do nothing.

4. If you get irate and rude with the person at the door, you will not come in. Nobody cares if you?re a lawyer. Go ahead and take them to court. The bouncer won?t pay any of the money.

This also applies to ?Do you know who I am??. Think of all the sh*t they take all night, plus being punched in the face routinely.

5. ID?s ? The doorguy doesn?t know you. He?s paid to hold you up and be 100% sure. If you don?t like it, go somewhere else. Saying, ?Look at me? or ?I?m old enough? is not proof. Either is knowing the info front to back. Underage people do the same thing. That?s what makes it hard.

Yes, it may be your picture. It could also be your older brother though, or a completely self made id with your real pic in it. RELAX. He?s not busting you nads on purpose (unless you screw with him).

They wouldn?t go through the trouble unless they get a lot of fakes.

6. VIP ? Yes. There is. Don?t get mad if you wait for 20 minutes and someone else walks right in. Off-duty workers, family members, friends, celebrities, other bar owners, or girls that show off their goods all fit this category. Deal with it. It?s one of the perks.

7. Again. Girls. DO get on the VIP. No bouncer will refuse.

So. Quit whining and befriend a bouncer. I did.

HITT THE HORSE-ED TAI picked up many ladies at this place. 4 dollar special not as special as it once was $3.... food is ok -- pizza and nachos are terriffic= waitstaff ok == bouncers are real Tools/ this place has the TV;s to help quench the thursts of all sports nuts-- they have the football package which is a great way to spend a sunday-- what they need--well they need a better bloody mary mix-- and they need to stop playing music as soon as it becomes 8 or 9pm on a saturday when there is an NFL playoff game on- Do not go for the sunday brunch you could do better at any other place-- stick to burgers and nachos ==IF your going to bring your girl here make sure you dont leave her alone because there is a crafty 5 foot 6 guy with a redsox hat that will try and hitt on her..(i would also like to respond to user quitwhining you understand this is a review right?? keep the lectures for the professors)

AVOID THIS PLACE - ESP. IF YOU'RE A GIRL!. Last week I went to White Horse in Brighton and witnessed a guy (with lil man syndrome apparently) sl@p a GIRL in the face. And then he proceeded to sl@p her bf. A stupid fight ensued, and at the end the guy was allowed to STAY at the bar with his friend, while the girl and her bf left with a pack of ice on the girls face. SOOOOO messed up! Apparently the lil guy knew the bouncers/bartenders that worked there. Anyways, I'm never going back there, and I'd hope none of you would ever want to go to a place like that either, esp. if you're a girl. Guys like that should be kicked where it hurts, and shoved in a ditch somewhere...so digusted with him, his friend, and the management at the White Horse.

Mediocre bar, Terrible doorstaff. I'll add to the list of people who found the bouncers to be superflously rude, even for bouncers. The food and drinks were ok but nothing spectacular - no amazing variety of beers on tap, no exciting original cocktails, food is also nothing special - but they have most of the basics. Prices are reasonable, but you pretty much get what you pay for. Overall I would rate it average if not for the bouncers. They physically assaulted me over what had been a minor, purely verbal misunderstanding about going outside and coming back in, and refused to talk reasonably with me.

Horrible door men. I can understand door men have a job to do and must make sure underage people do not get in, the head count is where it should be per law, etc.... However the continuous checking of 3 ID's (when you have a mass ID) is an annoyence. The small huddle of the bouncers especially the fat one wiht a goatee and mental midgate problem, asking if they should let this one in or that one in. If it wasnt for those ignorant, I have hate because my D*** is small bouncers it would ultimatly be a nice place to be. By the time you get in if you get it the night is ruined from that fat bastard!if there is any sypos in this review F off.....

Horrible. I have lived in the Allston/Brighton area for a while and have went to White Horse a bunch of times just because I keep having hope in them. I have finally realized that they are always going to be a horrible bar because of the rude bouncers who check your ID for an hour because it makes them feel tough or cool (apparently the job isn't very rewarding so they take it out on the people who just want to come and have a good time), the poor service, and the negative attitudes from all of the service staff. I have been in the restaurant business for a while and I have been to a lot of bars/restaurants and this is the only place that I have seen so many people talk about the poor service they give and it has been the main reason (besides the crappy food and expensive drinks) that people don't come back.

Never Go There! Worst Tavern Ever, They Are Mean & Prejudiced!. So, Basically I was visiting my friends from out of town and we went to the White Horse Tavern. My friend from Pakistan showed the bouncer his ID, which was valid and was REFUSED entry into the bar. I was next and I am from Louisiana, so I took out my Driver's License to show them that I am 23 and they told me that it was a fake and refused to give it back to me. They would not tell me why, but they REFUSED to give me my REAL Louisiana Driver's License back. I was forced to call the Police, who never came. Basically, the Bouncer's and the evil bar manager Ann Palmer refused to talk to me, they had proven me guilty without letting me show them how innocent I was. I waited outside for the police for 2 hours, because they wouldn't talk to me without them. Never go there. BOYCOTT THE WHITE HORSE TAVERN! They don't even let people who are actually of age into the bar AND they'll steal your REAL ID and refuse to give it back to you! They don't even have an ID scanner, the bar manager said that she "trusts the bouncer's intuition".

Good Spot. I am new to the area and had a friend tell me I had to try this place. He was right, I was not let down. The food is a great value. On Sun/Mon/Tue you can order off the $3 menu as long as you're drinking. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, check it out for yourself!

DJs Krucial and Chu make white horse #1 on Thurs.. I've been going to the white horse for about a year or so. I used to go to have a couple drinks and watch a game...a couple of months ago, I went on a Thursday night with some friends and we've been going regularly on that night since. They have 2 really talented dj's, DJ KRUCIAL & DJ CHU, and they play all the hip-hop, reggae, and Rnb you WANT to hear, not the BS you normally hear. I highly recommend you check it out...and they use all VINYL!
