Sports vision and Growing Pains training at Back & Body – If you have never heard of Sports Vision Therapy, think about this. My son was a varsity baseball player and was being scouted by several colleges. Unfortunately, he went through a major batting slump and growing pains (again). When I heard about pain reducing techniques at Back & Body from friends, I decided to take Harrison to Mary. She gave us 30 minutes of her time for FREE.
Within 5 minutes, she took Harrison through some simple tasks and said "You must not be hitting very well." My son who went kicking and screaming, looked at me, and then replied "How did you know?"
Simply stated, we went 3 times and did these eye muscle drills and balance drills. Harrison's batting average went from 196 to over 360. His leg and hip pain was gone and my son thinks I am a genius for taking him to her studio. Harrison is now playing baseball in college and had a choice between 3 colleges with full scholarships.
Now my other three boys see Mary the "sports guru." She is warm, attentive and knows so much about the body, movement and sports efficiencies. I recommend Back & Body, especially Mary Kim-Garrity

Professional and caring – My wife and I both live in a lot of pain. As ex-athletes, we have had many injuries and that coupled with getting older has caused significant pain. Mary met with each of us from a groupon we bought. The results are incredible and we will never leave.
I am back to running and my wife is a triathlete, once again. Who knew we could feel so good again! Thank you Mary.
Look elsewhere – Don't fall for the other reviews!!!
I took classes at Back and Body for over a year and my experience was poor to mediocre. I have since found more professionally qualified trainers and had much better instruction at other facilities in the Plymouth/Kingston area.
Pilates for a bad back – The service was great. I started with two privates. Mary, the owner walked me through the process with my bad back. She was informative and gave me a sense of hope. I love the studios.
Recommended by this surgeon! – As a ortho doc, I see alot of clients who have chronic pain. I have referred clients to Mary's studios for 9 years. The success rate is significant. The approach is simple, stretch tight muscles and strengthen weak muscles...creating balance in the body. Mary has consistently helped my patients throughout the years. Her team of instructors is second to none. Because she trained them all herself. I will take experience over a weekend certification...anyday.
Pilates for my bad back – I had such a nice experience here. I am shocked at the otherwise unkind comments. I have had such a bad back for years and found the studio via my doctor who recommended this studio. Classes are abundant, teachers are knowledgeable, all were trained by the owner.
I inquired and Mary has been teaching Pilates and fitness for over 20 years. I don't think a weekend class with a certificate can compete with this group of instructors who have all worked at this studio for over 6 years.
My mother and sister are now going with me to the studio and we are doing trios on the reformer. So much fun.
Personalized approach to Pilates on the equipment in a group class setting. – I moved here from NYC 2 years ago and found the studio in Norwell. The owner matched me with a teacher who could teach me visually since I am a visual learner. Impressive. The instructor knew of my back pain before I even mentioned it. I have taken Pilates in CA and NY and had to take privates to work on the equipment. At this studio, you can do group classe on the mats, barrels, reformers and cadillacs. Impressive. Jenna
Positive Experience – In my short time at the Back & Body Studio my body has changed so much! I am diligent about my class schedule and the feedback and encouragement I get from the instructors is inspiring. The class setting is intimate, sometimes there is only three of us in class! Every once in a while you even get a 1on 1 session. I have learned so much about how my muscles work, and my posture. I leave feeling great. To those looking for personable, knowledgable, instructors, as well as a challenging workout, look no further.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Staff – Specialized Pilates and yoga programs include "Pilates for golfers" and low-intensity ashtanga yoga.
Pilates for Back & Neck Pain – My husband has been working with the pros at this fully equipped studio and he is no longer a coach potatoe. He is now able to walk and play with our kids. He was 40 going on 75 and now he looks and acts younger than before our 4 kids. Thank you Mary. Maggie
