Sports vision and Growing Pains training at Back & Body
by cobbabobba at Citysearch
If you have never heard of Sports Vision Therapy, think about this. My son was a varsity baseball player and was being scouted by several colleges. Unfortunately, he went through a major batting slump and growing pains (again). When I heard about pain reducing techniques at Back & Body from friends, I decided to take Harrison to Mary. She gave us 30 minutes of her time for FREE.
Within 5 minutes, she took Harrison through some simple tasks and said "You must not be hitting very well." My son who went kicking and screaming, looked at me, and then replied "How did you know?"
Simply stated, we went 3 times and did these eye muscle drills and balance drills. Harrison's batting average went from 196 to over 360. His leg and hip pain was gone and my son thinks I am a genius for taking him to her studio. Harrison is now playing baseball in college and had a choice between 3 colleges with full scholarships.
Now my other three boys see Mary the "sports guru." She is warm, attentive and knows so much about the body, movement and sports efficiencies. I recommend Back & Body, especially Mary Kim-Garrity

My wife and I both live in a lot of pain. As ex-athletes, we have had many injuries and that coupled with getting older has caused significant pain. Mary met with each of us from a groupon we bought. The results are incredible and we will never leave.
I am back to running and my wife is a triathlete, once again. Who knew we could feel so good again! Thank you Mary.

Don't fall for the other reviews!!!
I took classes at Back and Body for over a year and my experience was poor to mediocre. I have since found more professionally qualified trainers and had much better instruction at other facilities in the Plymouth/Kingston area.
Pilates equipment classes YAAY!

I have take private reformer classes in Boston for years. Mat pilates hurts my back and neck. I prefer the machine cuz it makes the exercises easier and the leg work harder.
The instructors are warm and fuzzy.
- Pros: short money for reformer and apparatus classes
- Cons: wish studio was in plymouth
Pilates for a bad back

The service was great. I started with two privates. Mary, the owner walked me through the process with my bad back. She was informative and gave me a sense of hope. I love the studios.
- Pros: It helps
