Editorial Review for Boston Billiard Club – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
Pool players searching for the area's best place for a serious game eschew Jillian's frenetic "adult playground" atmosphere in favor of the BBC's 55 picture-perfect tables. Weekends and Red Sox game nights draw standing-room crowds (expect to wait for a table), while non-game nights feature a decidedly calmer scene. Mainstream rock tunes and suggestively dressed cocktail waitresses add to a gentleman's club vibe.
The Draw
While the overwhelming majority of patrons come to shoot pool, those who don't fill the bar and lounge areas to watch sporting events while drinking draught beers and snacking on an extensive menu of bar-food favorites (heaping plates of nachos, messy hot wings). Strategically placed TVs ensure that pool-playing patrons get to follow the big game, while fleet-footed waitresses keep them from having to miss a turn.

Insider Tips
Save MoneyOn Wednesdays, ladies (four minimum per table) play for free. Female groups of three or less receive a 25-percent discount.
ParkingWhen the Sox are playing, forget about it: Take the T, or park on the Brookline border and hoof it.

We were disappointed with the service. Several (at least 5) food and drink orders that we never ordered were placed in the room that our group had rented out. This occurred throughout the course of the evening--and apparently the staff didn't notice until we complained near the end. When we returned a few of the items and asked them to be taken off the bill, the waitress told us they were "never on the bill" in the first place. This was before we got the bill. But later we found a few more unordered items, and they were on the bill we got. To the staff's credit, all the unordered items were taken off. But it should have never happened in the first place, and we had to stay a while and sort everything out. We will not be giving them our business in the future.
Pros: The ambience of the private rooms and the pool tables were decent.
Cons: Disappointing service

Great place to watch the sox if you can't get tickets. There game day menu is affordable and you can't beat the $2 drafts. Staff is very friendly.
Pros: friendly staff, good service, clean
Cons: none
