I booked an appointment with the owner because he was the only one “available”. Had I known that I would receive the worst hair cut and service by the stylist I would have gone elsewhere. The assistants were extremely nice and gave an amazing wash, a little longer than I would have liked to sit at the sink, but that were because the owner had 3 other customers waiting. When I finally got to his chair he asked me what I wanted, which was just a trim, as I wanted to keep the length. He told me that I should cut it short and have bangs, something I had heard him suggest to 2 other customers. I decided not to cut it short and he looked angry when I didn’t take his suggestion. That got me a little worried. Then the pain started. He picked up a small comb and proceeded to comb my hair pulling my head in every direction as he did so. The process of the cut wasn’t that bad, a lot of moving my head in jerky motions, and A LOT of hair falling around the chair. Then came time to dry my hair. I normally have curly hair and wanted it dried straight, which is not an easy task for anyone. He asked if he could put product in my hair and I told him it was ok as long as he didn’t use a lot. I guess his meaning of a lot and mine are completely different. He mixed about 3 different products and put it into my hair in the most forceful way I have ever seen. I couldn’t keep my head from being jerked around again! The it was THE most painful experience I have ever had in a salon. It was excruciatingly hot and again he jerked my head around to the point that my neck hurt after everything was over. He ended up cutting about 3 in. off, so much for the trim, and told me that if I wanted to go shorter to come back in 2 weeks and he would do it for free. Thankfully I had a coupon from the website and did not have to pay the $50. Needless to say I will NEVER be getting my hair cut by him again and have heard horror stories from other people I know that have let him near their hair also.
Pros: friendly assistants, cheerful staff other than the owner
Cons: LONG wait, rude owner
