Fabulous place to celebrate any occasion!. I had my wedding here in May 2007 and it was perfect! The staff was superb and the food was phenomenal - it was one of the easiest parts of my wedding planning. They put on a beautiful and elegant event with plenty of attention to detail and they made my family, my husband's family and all of our guests feel great with their first-class treatment. My parents also got upgraded to an even nicer suite the night of the wedding and we were in an unbelievable suite! It was super nice and we had such a great night.

We had a special martini bar at our cocktail hour and this was very popular with the guests! We were able to pick four martinis and the same terrific staff from the Oak Room made us our delicious drinks. We had a Sidecar, Cosmopolitan, Green-apple martini and a classic martini as choices.

There were absolutely no complaints on my part as the staff did a top-notch job. I would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone. Our night was fantastic!

Not a pleasnt stay. I always stay at 5 star hotels. This one was not 5 star maybe 2 star. First noise was vibrating room till 1am because of a wedding. No view, my view was of a ledge. I had the deluxe signature room. Then came back the next day and the room was not serviced at 4pm. Called to complain and still took 1/2 more as they have to be specific as to who will do my room meaning the guest waits till they are available.

I bought the $7 bottle of water, you would think it would be replaced to buy another one, no, had to ask for that to.

Front desk manger and staff are nice and helpful and will try to resolve your problems, but these are problems that should not be happening to begin with. Like not leaving extra toilet paper. Roll gets used, leave another one, nope, not so.

I have platinum status with Fairmont but why bother, I would not stay here again. If the Four Seasons would have been available I would have been there. This is not high end.

Again, front desk staff very nice, Kate the dog is lovely.

The "Grand Dame of Boston" sports an exterior that's reminiscent of New York's Plaza Hotel.. The Scene
This 1900s Renaissance Revival building rises six stories, flanked on either side by the Boston Public Library and Trinity Church. It's located in Copley Square and welcomes guests with a cheerful red awning and carpet unfurled to herald new arrivals. Guests enjoy proximity to such attractions as Beacon Hill and Newbury Street.

The Details
Guest rooms are decorated in rich hues and feature huge desks, marble and granite bathrooms and reproduction antiques. Suites are sumptuous and regal, with leather furnishings, fireplaces and cathedral ceilings. The best views can be found in rooms facing Copley Square or Clarendon Street. A renovation of the entire property added high-speed Internet access, luxury bedding and the Fairmont Gold, a "hotel within the hotel" for guests looking for more lounge space and extra amenities. The Oak Room steakhouse is the recipient of countless awards. There is a small fitness center for guest use.

Out-britting the Brits. I've stayed at the hotel a few times - truly superb location and the Oak Room is stunning.

Possibly the best location in the city and my experience of the staff is that they are extremely helpful and friendly.

I am British and lived in Bermuda at the time of my visits, so my standards with regard to hotels are fairly high. The Copley Plaza easily outdid both Bermuda and the UK. I'd highly recommend it - and indeed have.

New Year's Eve. We spent two wonderful nights on Dec 30 and 31. The hotel had a great bed and breakfast special...well worth the money and the trip! Great old hotel, dining room is one of a kind.

The Ole Girl just ain't what she used to be. Hallways needs to be updated I feel. The rooms are small but I do understand that these are old buildings so this is what you should expect. The decor however has been updated, though the linens had a rough "worn" feel to them. To me it wouldn't be worth the rack rate pricing.

Be advised the only rooms that have views are the suites that face Copley Square other than that the side rooms over look the Westin and the expressway entrance. The location is AWESOME you are right at the "T" green line Copley stop so easy access to downtown by way of trolley or even a very nice walk. There is the Copley Plaza Mall which has a lot of "high end" stores and of course Newberry Street is about a 5 minute walk. Didn't check out the restaurants we only stayed one night.
