not much. Unbelievably over priced beer and a tiny, tiny bar make this a pretty unapproachable bar for some people. It's inevitably packed and the small bar space means that if you're on your own you can either sit alone at a table (no fun) or stand near the bar. The crowd can be ok...some of the guys honestly make me embarrassed to be gay, tragic Castro Clone queen types. The faux biker ones are particularly tragic. Heads up guys: real bike punks don't have Jack Spade bags, those are for posers. It also collects some unbearable Euro-trash. The music can be ok, leans towards the club side of things. However, in the South End it's really the only place to meet guys under 30, hence its continual popularity. SO EXPENSIVE!

Hot Spot. This bar is very condusive to meeting people and having a great time. It is a very mixed crowd of straights and gays, and everyone hangs out together. Sisters has a huge following with Thursdays and Sundays very popular. The bartenders, Matty and Christopher are terrific, and wait staff Breana and Jessica are top rated. And of course owners Gretchen and Andy are the hosts of the SE. Gretchen is a doll!

Tremont 647's sibling restaurant provides overflow crowds with a cool, casual scene and a pared-down menu of modern comfort food.. The Scene
A little sister to the South End's popular Tremont 647, Sister Sorel serves as a favorite hangout for stylish area residents. Tiny candle-topped tables, nestled against exposed-brick walls, are filled with patrons who either can't wait to dine in 647's large dining room or are looking to enjoy Sorel's cheaper, pared-down menu. The petite bar makes up for its limited space with exotic, affordable cocktails (try the pineapple martini). Friendly, artsy servers blend into the hepcat environs.

The Food
Diners are rarely disappointed with Sorel's limited, ever-changing menu of contemporary comfort food (expect about a half-dozen options). The juicy Burger Daddy, served with hearty steak fries, is a worthy menu mainstay. Other items may include savory swordfish lo mein, or a gooey grilled steak quesadilla. Because the two restaurants are connected, Sorel's patrons are encouraged to order off of 647's wildly adventurous menu (Tibetan beef dumplings, seven onion soup).

One word...Mojito. Fine drinks before a finer meal.

The rasberry gimlet was fresh and fun.

As previous...the mojito was pleasant and intoxicating

The burger was the best I've had, and the apps. were the haps. Had a sweet potato ravioli and the mussels were different and great. Accompanied by an onion topped foccacia for FREE!!!!

DON'T MISS THE DONUTS!. My boyfriend and I ate here on a Thursday night. The food was wonderful--try the spaghetti and meatballs and the burgur daddy. The portions were smaller than at most restaurants, but certainly filling. The restaurant is unbelieveably small, but there were several tables available when we arrived around 6:30. The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy and hip. For dessert, don't miss the donuts--they are unbelieveable. I'm looking forward to trying the brunch--the menu looked delicious!

Great Food, Small Tables. Great food, excellent drinks, and nice serive. They could use a few more tables that hold more than two people.
