The Scene – Twice a year, Filene's Basement has its nationally notorious wedding dress sale, for which brides begin lining up outside the store as early as 5am. Once they're in, these otherwise normal women turn into nothing short of demonic, violent shrews: They fight tooth and nail for dresses, and fly aggressively at the poor salesfolk who come out to replenish the racks' supply. - Get there as early as you can, with as many helpers as you can. Wear comfortable, very light clothing. Stretch pants and a tank top are ideal.
