Good but not that good. I enjoyed our visit to this place. However the price is far too much for the food and ambiance, and merely reflects its position in theatre district and the captive market that offers. I had the salmon entree which was cooked to perfection.

User review by newanglophile. Our first time at Pigalle. The chef and hostess are the owners, husband-and-wife, I believe. The hostess was most gracious and friendly. Ambience, service, and food were excellent. Portion size was appropriate (I don't like huge portions). Next time in Boston, will want to go back.

After 28 Meals Still Our Favorite. We've been going to Pigalle since it first opened, and it's consistently top drawer. Taste sensations in every dish; terrific waitstaff; most gracious hostess and owner/chef. Have intruduced business clients, friends, and elderly relatives and all have shared our enthusiasm for every part of the dining experience. It's romatic; it's friendly; you can talk; plus they'll get you to the theater on time. As far as we're concerned you cannot enjoy a dining experience more or get a better meal in Boston. And plenty of parking in the Radisson next door--Pigalle will stamp your ticket for a major discount.

VERY Disappointing. Overpriced, overrated, below average food and service, pretentious, not worthwhile.

Outstanding. Unfortunately for all other restaurants Pigalle has raised the bar. Simply put, the food brought a joyful tear to my eye with every bite. From the Duck to the Tuna tar-tar to the garnish on the plate!!! My Wife and I found ourselves reminiscing in the car all the way home!!! Make a night of it, bring friends.. you wont be dissapointed.

Outstanding. One of the joys of travelling is that you get to expereince new restaurants withough knowing too much about them. Pigalle for me was an over the top experience that compares with the best that my home (SF) has to offer. I had the Grand Tasting Menu ($100) and relished nearly every course. An amuse of asparagus soup with shitake was refined. The yellowfin tartare with green beans and truffle oil was the star of the night. Eggplant terrine, lobster corn ravioli, beef tenderloil and perfectly paired wines were amazing. The only flaw was the parmesan risotto was overly rich and uninteresting and the lobster ravioli was also drenched in a too rich sauce. For 6 courses, you need a breather from the heavie courses! (Two of the courses in the grand tasting are Chefs choice.) Wonderful service topped it off. Wow.

Tasting menu to die for. Amazing service!. I recently stopped into Pigalle to enjoy a grand tasting menu with my wife. We enjoyed every single course. The chilled tomato soup helped cool our parched tongues. The tuna/scallop tartare was delectable. The roasted eggplant terrine, expertly prepared. Asparagus salad, luxurious and beautiful. The corn ravioli made me feel like I was on the beach enjoying a clambake! The bass, refreshing and cleansing to the palette. The tenderloin just melted in my mouth. Oh, and let's not forget the darling ice cream cone dessert. Every single wine pairing was right on, inspiring. The ultra-friendly and knowledgeable staff described all dishes expertly. It was a spectacular evening I hope I can have again soon.

Interesting, delicious and perfect service!. Tucked away from the craziness of the Theater district but close enough to walk to the theater afterwards, it was a great stop. Perfect service, the waitstaff is super friendly an on-point, the food was interesting, ingenious and delicious. Cannot say enough good things about it, thank you Pigale for a great evening!

Old Reliable, but Always Surprising. What a special little place! The charming ambience is cozy and romantic. The staff members are kind and super-knowledgable about their stuff (they explain wine selections and food without making me feel a dunce)! Marc Orfaly's French style utilizes loads of Asian goodness. Home run food with a twist: a GORGEOUS tuna martini, or confit duck with crisp skin and tender flesh, glazed with fruit...I'm drooling thinking about it! Recently, I had a killer pork chop with onion jam and homemade tater tots! Died and gone to heaven! The steak tartare is the best in town, and save room for dessert! Like a super-refreshing melon soup with honey semifredo or sweet corn creme brulee with corn fritters. Just go! They have some pretty cool wines, too! An added bonus: their bartenders have a full list of original house martinis without even having a full bar. Magical.

Frequent Customer. I am a frequent customer at Pigalle's. Once I discovered this gem I was hooked. I have had dinner in the dining room and also at the bar. I have never been disappointed. The Pigalle's experience is sublime. The service and waitstaff was very professional. I dream about Pigalle. The duck is by far the best in the city. The tuna rolls are like no other. On once occasion while sitting at the bar with friends, a couple came in and ordered up 2 orders of tuna rolls each with a Pigalle salad. They told me they come into the city just to have the tuna rolls. The "petite" tasting menu is another good choice, every dish was exceptional. This is a very caring restaurant and it is obvious in the food that is served. and service given. And last but certainly not least, the deserts are to die for.
