“Overall I say the food is really outstanding and it's a fun atmosphere.”
“The desserts looked delicious, but we did not have any of them.”
“So, you can easily have a few drinks and eat dinner at a very reasonable price.”

“If you hit this place right after work you get to enjoy an extensive menu with almost every item priced in the $3-$5 range.”
“work in the business and am always looking for places that offer quality product, service and good value.”
“While I recommend this place for its fresh catch, I believe that in this town you can get equal or better quality at cheaper prices.”
“The bartender(s) weren't very busy and the 4 of us had to ask for a drink after sittting there for 15 minutes; the hostess that sat us a terrible attitude and the waitress tried to be nice but was inexperienced.”
Terrible. We made a reservation at M&S a week in advance for 7:30PM at the M&S in Fanuile hall we arrived at 7:15PM and advised the staff we were here. He told me we would be seated shortly. My wife and I waited till 7:40 and approached a different gentlemen at the front. He checked my name again and told me "momentarily sir". At this time we heard others complaining, we were patient and finally at 8:15PM we left. This could coincide with an attempt at the week before attempting to get a drink or bite to eat for lunch at the same location. This time we were in the bar area and we sat a table we sat for 10 minutes, no one ever approached us I for one will never go back. We live in Boston there are to many good restaurants to ever deal with this nonsense again.
average seafood for large prices.
My girlfriend and I ate here for Christmas dinner; and while we were expecting top notch service, quality and ambiance, the results were slightly under par for what we paid.
The food itself was quite good; however we could have gotten an equally amazing meal at compariable highend resturant.
While I recommend this place for its fresh catch, I believe that in this town you can get equal or better quality at cheaper prices. I would try out other resturants before going back to this one.
For Seafood lovers.
The seafood was the freshest I have ever had. The fried calamari melted in my mouth - it wasn't rubbery at all, like it usually is at other restaurants. The main meals are a little on the expensive side but unlike other fancy restaurants that charge a lot, you actually get 2 nice size side dishes along with your fish of choice.
The only problem I had was that it was very loud and the women's bathroom was not as clean as it could be. I would definately go back again.
Happy Hour. Best Happy Hour Menu in the city, I dare you to find anything this good for the $
hello, can someone help me?. I sat down at the bar and waited ten minutes before anyone noticed I was there. I ordered. a drink and dinner. fifteen minutes later, my food shows up and my bartender then realizes, oh, I had ordered a drink, too. Unconcerned, she carried on with her socializing as I have observed her doing from the moment I sat down trying to get her attention. For the first time ever, I wanted to just walk out. The moral of this story: Just don't walk in!
Crab Cakes, Quesadillas and Cake - Oh My. My father and I recently dined at McCormick and Schmick's to mixed feelings. We were extremely pleased with our drinks and appetizers, including a scrumptuous Mexican blue crab cake and wonderful shrimp quesadilla. My dad's shrimp was over-fried, and my salmon steak - which I've never ordered - was OK, but a little disturbing with the unexpected little bones. Now, our server was very knowledgable about the food, (including my red sockeye salmon from the Chignik River in Alaska), and we enjoyed our dessert very much. I had Jake's Famous Truffle Cake, a flour-less cake, that was a chocolate lover's dream. Wow! We had a nice time, but my ratings are a little low because our main dishes missed the mark, it was a little loud, and our booth, unlike all the other linen clad tables, had paper placemats - at a fancy place like this.
Very Disappointing. I have eaten at M&S in LA and SF and know what to expect. However, on to different occasions I have been very disappointed with them. Just this past Tuesday (06/25) I had drinks at the bar and dinner outside in the cafe. The bartender(s) weren't very busy and the 4 of us had to ask for a drink after sittting there for 15 minutes; the hostess that sat us a terrible attitude and the waitress tried to be nice but was inexperienced. The appetizers (5) were average in taste and the entrees (4) were either overcooked or burnt and not seasoned at all.
2 Words - Happy Hour. Let me preface this by saying that Ive never been here for dinner (at this location). But, the Happy Hour is the best gig in town. If you hit this place right after work you get to enjoy an extensive menu with almost every item priced in the $3-$5 range. So, you can easily have a few drinks and eat dinner at a very reasonable price. Its not very crowded and if youre with friends its always a good time. Unfortunately, McCormick & Schmick's is in a part of town where you catch a lot of tourists and hotel guests. But if youre local and can stand not being in the in crowd, then its definitely worth a stop.
