Editorial Review for Bristol Lounge – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
From early morning when the city's elite hold breakfast meetings, to late night when 30-somethings swill designer nightcaps, the Bristol is one of Boston's premier all-purpose hotel lounges. Large enough to house a small army, the lounge provides several different seating options, from street-side window tables to the rear bar's stools. A fireplace and live jazz and classical piano (Thursdays through Saturdays) add to the romantic atmosphere.

I am confused by several of the negative reviews. I have eaten at the Bristol Lounge over a dozen times. Sometimes with my wife, but most of the time with my wife and baby daughter. The staff and patrons are very accommodating. Most places this nice tend to be difficult places to bring children, but not the Bristol Lounge. The food is expensive, but you are paying a premium for great service and ambiance. Yes, there are places you can eat just as well for less, but you will not enjoy your meail as much as at the Bristol (especially if you have a young child - as I said, they are very accommodating).

Pros: Great location and ambiance. Great food. Great service.

Cons: Pricey.

I went for lunch because I heard the burgers were delicious. They were almost $18. and I ordered mine medium. The burger was served very rare and I had to send it back. It took a while for my 2nd burger to be served and it was pretty rare also. The other person I was dining with had to eat because we were already waiting almost an hour and his food was getting cold. I was disappointed.
