...the REAL reason to visit Boston !. Jacques is a nice sedate place to relax and sip on your favorite beverage, engage with the bar-keep and sparce LOYAL patronage; and (a pox on internet romance and dating services) -to my best knowledge -make a real love connection. Life is short, find it fast and hold on.

But then, after 10:00 (the witching hours) roll your stockings down, rouge your knees and brace yourself for the best "World Class" (DON'T-TELL-MAMMA) entertainment you may ever have the pleasure to see. The talented "GIRLS" at Jacques will shock and amuse you all night long -sending most men into glorious confusion of delight and doubt; and most women into a gay pique of envy and genuine hysterics.

Bring your good friends for support. Be over twenty-one, bring your ID (and a note from your doctor); and, men, check your fly. A nominal cover-charge -and DO NOT resist the compelling urge to tip the "GIRLS" and your waitress ! If you see me there, don't be shy -the name is Carolynne -stop and say hello.

Fun, Fun, FUN!. This place is SO fun to go to. I went to see a friend perform in a drag show. All the performers came up to the audience and involved us. The songs were fun. It was just a great experience. It's nice to go check out when you're not doing anything special.

Awesome Night. I went to the 8:00 show to start out the night for a bachelorette party and what a way to get the night going!!!! We had so much fun and the whole place was having a blast. I highly recommend going here for a fun and memorable night out and I will definitely return. Its a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table.

Drag, Trans, GLBT, All Welcome All The Time! Dragtastic night out!. This place if definitely not your Las Vegas type of drag show/lounge. It's been around for ages, it's a classic dive bar and sometimes just plain ole tacky night out. But, it's FUNNNN! The place gets all kinds of people from the usual gay boys and drag queens to weekend bachelorette parties. You'll also see the weekend "T" friendly types there too. It's such a fun mix of everything you really can't have a bad time here. Bring your cash even though there is an ATM, get some cheap but good drinks and watch the show on stage AND in the crowd!

Boston's only place where one can see rock and rollers rubbing shoulders with drag queens.. In Short
Jacques sports a bright red, tacky-yet-elegant ambience and a melting-pot quality that's rare in local gay clubs. Drag queens were the club's usual clientele for decades when the club was home to a truly underground scene--Jacques' owner once boasted that he was the first Boston promoter to book the notorious cross-dressing disco group the Village People. Live rock bands play Friday and Saturday nights, while most other nights feature colorful female impersonators.
