Editorial Review for South Shore Plaza – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
The hulking South Shore Plaza sits just off the busy area where Interstates 95 and 93 meet Route 3, enabling easy access (and loads of parking) for scores of shoppers. All the usual suspects (The Gap, J. Crew, Banana Republic, The Limited, Express) are here, as well as the likes of Macy's and H&M. Diners choose between a large food court and sit-down spots like Legal Sea Foods and Joe's American Bar & Grill.

oh i love going to the south shore plaza mall. better then the west gate mall. but yeah the plaza is a great please for us teen's these days to interact. i dont think we're anything horrible but its a great urban mix place. yeah you should watch out for fridays especially cause we just came out of school. last day of a school week and we need to chill with our friends. so its either the mall or the movies for us. lol and usually we pick the mall. for a girl like me..its about shopping and seeing some cute boys :) ! but at south shore plaza they got everything i need..best stores for me kids footlocker ; footlocker ; finishline ; footaction ; h&m ; wet seals ; and ice cream shop. and im good to go. lol
Pros: everything. from parking to service !
Cons: nothing !

I have some "insider tips". Beware of Friday and Saturday nights after 7ish unless you are going to Legal Sea Foods or Joes because they are the unofficial "Teen nights" where it seems like every single pre-teen/teen in the area meets, hang out in large crowds, creates traffic (from parent drop-offs) clog up the food court, and etc. Unless you like that kind of thing. Also, for inexpensive meals that feel like you're "eating out" and not just food courting it, go to Johnny Rockets. The cheese fries aren't that great but the burgers are fabulous and cheap. Another tip- Parking. Don't even think about parking at the main entrance. You will have to park miles away if you even get a spot. Go up to the top roof of the Sears parking garage and park there. Tons of spots are empty and short walk.
Pros: Variety of stores, Fun to just stroll
Cons: crowded weekend night
