Editorial Review for Esplanade – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This stretch of riverside space between Mass Ave. and Longfellow bridges is flush with sailboats, recreation and lots of skin. Joggers, cyclists and in-line skaters can make a stroll feel like walking across a roller rink. The Esplanade is home to the Hatch Shell, Boston's famous outdoor music amphitheater, two playgrounds and landscaped hills, lakes and bridges. It's also home to Community Boating, a sailing club offering rentals and lessons.

The Esplanade is the greatest part of Boston. Nowhere else in the city is as nice of a getaway as the bank of the Charles on any kind of day. Be it rollerblading, biking, tennis or just relaxing, the Esplanade has it all. My fave.

Esplanade is a great place for all ages. I love to just sit next to the water and watch the boat, or bring my roller-blade. It's one of my favourite place to hang out in Boston. DChang
Cons: hard to find restroom
