Inside Track – More than 150 artists, mostly from metro Boston, are showcased in five exhibitions each year. Some shows are so large they spill onto the sidewalk, which only fuels the casual atmosphere. – – Gallery Vibe – The operative word is fun. They don't take themselves too seriously, but they show serious art. This is one of the happening galleries of the new millennium. – – The Setting – Three theaters are also here: the cozy, 49-seat Leland Theater, and the larger BCA Theater and Black Box Theater.

Editor's Tips

More Art:
The Cyclorama was built during a weird fad in the late 19th century. The idea: Design a building in the shape of a cylinder and decorate the inside with a large circular painting, usually of a gory battle of major historical significance.
