In Short – With a prime Back Bay location and the city's only rooftop pool, the Colonnade is an ideal choice for out-of-towners and area residents in search of a local getaway. For guests not in the mood for the French fare of Brasserie Jo (the in-house restaurant), there are dozens of top dining destinations within walking distance. Guest rooms feature contemporary European decor (marble bathrooms) and modern business amenities like high-speed Internet, speaker phones and fax-modem lines.
Loved The Colonade, Especially the Rooms

We had a terrific stay at the hotel. Valentines Day package was awesome. Rose petals on our bed and it was a romantic weekend. Just loved the hotel and can't say enough about our new room. Really comfortable bed and the views of the city were awesome. Room had windows from the floor to the ceiling and we didnt open them because it was cold but it just provided so much natural light and great views. Wife absolutely loved the Keurig coffee machines. We have one at home. It was a pleasant surprise because there was Kona coffee and tea delivered each day. A large high def TV must have been 40 inches and a dvd player was standard. Insane! Also liked the bathroom soaps and shampoos. Staff very friendly and the location could not be beat. The T is outside the front door and mall is right there. Cant wait to return. Oh and the room had a doorbell... first time seeing that.
- Pros: New Rooms, Location, Staff, Restaurant
- Cons: Can be a Bit Pricey
pool is a joke

Honestly, the location is not bad. The mall is right across the street, nice dining places are close by, but the hotel itself is not amazing. The rooms aren't bad but for the price per night it is not worth it. the hallway is dim and so are the rooms, the brightest lights are in the bathroom. The most disappointing part was the pool. Either it is closed because its raining...which is understandable, but otherwise I expected a much bigger pool. I've seen better pools at cheaper hotels and this was just pointless. The main reason I decided to stay here was because the rooftop pool seemed so unique...it was just disappointing. Maybe it is better when they have events but otherwise I would have preferred to stay somewhere else

The room was fantastic, very clean, very nice and modern (this was the deluxe room, $20 more than the normal one I think). The only non-working thing was the bathroom fan, very minor. However, we were EXTREMELY disappointed the pool was out of service. I called ahead of time a few days in advance and the person I booked the room with told me it would be available that weekend. The pool mechanic told me on Saturday that the hotel knew things weren't ready the week before. When I asked for some vouchers or something so that we could use the pool some other day, that was denied. So I don't really feel like the hotel went out of our way to make our stay live up to the expectations that were set when I booked the room. Too bad because I liked the hotel in general. But they really didn't go out of their way to make me feel like I should come back.
- Pros: Nice rooms, great location
- Cons: Didn't go out of their way to satisfy customer
