This place is dangerous. I went here the other night with my friend. He was drunk and talking some trash, but not altogether out of line. The bouncer, however, had a quick temper and went after my friend. Definitely was the first to get physical and there was no need. I tried to get in between them. Despite the fact I hadn't said anything to provoke him, the bouncer held me by the shirt and then started pummeling me in the face. Fortunately I can take a punch, but I now have a real sore jaw, a bumpy upper lip and a swollen cheek. Don't go to this place at night, unless you want to fight bouncers or are into violence.

nice atmosphere. my boyfriend and i ended up here after not wanting to wait for a table at sunset grill. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, their desserts were especially excellent. The beer selection was very satisfying, service was fast and the atmosphere was very relaxed. There wasn't anything special going on that night ( no bands or themes) but we both enjoyed our stay, Common Ground is definitely worth a try.

Popular, all-purpose Allston spot covers all the bases by offering live music, food and beer.. A comfortable hangout for jocks and live-music lovers, the Common Ground is part Irish pub, part rock club and part sports bar, all pulled together in a traditional setting. Most nights see sporty crowds huddle around the numerous TVs, while the crowd becomes more diverse on nights when bands play in the middle of the small lounge area. Besides affordable bottles of domestic beers, standard bar fare and pizzas keep everyone nourished.

Best Nights Ever. The most fun nights out are 90's night! DJ Mike is amazing and plays everyones suggestions. The crowd is great, lots of singing/dancing along to awesome 90's music. The bartenders are nice/funny and the beer selection is solid. I highly recommend this fun little dive bar for a great night out, just don't bring any pretention with you.

awful bar, I wouldnt even call it a restaurant. This place is nasty. Its the strangers of allston. I went there with a bunch of friends and we all agreed it was awful. The food was gross, it looked like it was sitting around out back forever. There are so many other nice places near this, dont waste your time.

Great Allston Bar. Always one of my favorite Allston spots, lots of different theme nights (80's music, trivia, hip-hop, mod, etc), so make sure it's a theme you enjoy. Great staff, fun place to watch a game.
