On Red Sox game nights, expect a mix of older and younger patrons celebrating a win or drowning their sorrows. Otherwise--when school's in session--this is one of Boston University's most popular bars. Despite the occasional goth or reggae night, you can count on a clean-cut, student crowd dancing to contemporary music.
The Draw
A long, handsome bar serves up an excellent assortment of beers and spirits. The front tables enjoy an open-air view of Beacon Street. When there isn't a Sox game during the day, this is a great spot for a quiet pint or meal. The standard bar menu offers burgers and salads as well as the usual snacks, including heaping plates of nachos and fries. Come late night on weekends, the place gets packed as freshly scrubbed singles shake to whatever's playing.

Came a little while ago for the first time on a Saturday with a friend..Good time, nice staff all the way around. DJ was great. Will definitely be back..Had a blast..Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to this bar for the first time on 3/28/09 for a friends birthday. Small group of us... 3 girls and 2 guys including myself. I had a tab open at the bar in the front room and in the back... and by the end of the night had racked up over $200 between the two... tipping VERY well I might add. For the most part our group kept to ourselves, just dancing and having a good time. Towards the end of the night I was dancing with my girlfriend when out of nowhere a bouncer semi tackles me and draggs me ourside... all the while I was trying to ask him what I did... I wasn't being angry becasue I used to be a bouncer myself and know that approach won't get you anywhere but in the gutter. The bouncer refused to tell me what I had done until we were outside... apparently I had punched a girl square in the face. I had done no such thing and if the bouncer had actually done his job and tried to figure out the situation by listening to me or any of the people I was with, the whole thing could have been avoided. Instead, I was kicked out while the bouncer informed other guests what had happened, and that I was responsible. That's slander right there... and I'll take that up with the management. Anyway, while I'm outside trying to explain to the other doorman that I still had a huge tab running in the bar, the real culprit was discovered and tossed out... yet I was still being treated as if I had done it myself. They would not let me back in to close my tab even after they knew they had made a mistake! (my hand was also cut in the process of being tossed out. for someone who wasn't at all resisting, the oaf certainly used more than enough force to toss me out) Anyway, with our whole group trying to talk sense to the bouncers about the nonsense of still treating me like I was guilty, and then not listening, I had to get someone to forge my signature at the bar (looking back, i should have refused to pay). I can't say I'll ever go to this bar again... unless it's to knock some sense into a semi-retarded bouncer.

This place has a pretty good Salsa night on Wednesday night. The only problem is that it's a little hard to find and you have to fight your way through some horrible singing (you'll see). It's in the back room which is actually pretty nice. you can't here the singing from there, thank god but only some really good old school salsa. This is hands down the spot to be on Wednesdays!

When to Go:
Wednesdays come alive thanks to karaoke in the bar area and salsa dancing in the club. Friday and Saturday nights host DJs spinning Top 40 and hip-hop.
