BEST OF BOSTON!
by GreenThumb
Bringing life back to a true gem is the best way to describe what Sterling Golf has been doing at this beautiful inner city golf course. This course is the 2nd oldest public cousre in the nation and had fallen on disrepair. The City has built a beautiful new clubhouse and installed a new irrigation system. The new management company has been bringing back the lustre to the course with hand mowed tees near perfect greens and rapidly improving fairways. Having played this course for years it looks like 2002 is the year of the real turnaround for this place! New tee boxes and bunkers have been going in along with new cart paths! Thank you to all the managers and staff for a great conditioned course and a very friendly and welcoming staff, I cant wait untill I can get out and play again!
- Pros: Inexpensive, Beautiful layout, Location
- Cons: Noisy parking lot, Kids take your balls, Location
"Four!!!!!! Thumbs up!"
by shannon_phillips
If I had four thumbs they would all be up for the best golfing area in the city of Boston. The grass is freshly cut and always neat. The land is spacious and the view "is by far" an excellent one. If you don't golf it is ok, because you can always go for a walk or jog around the golfing area or even have a pinic. Great atmosphere and an excellent place to take the kids.
- Pros: Spacious, Scenic
- Cons: No Parking
