“And, let's face it, a great restaurant with on street parking.”
“They're the most tasty cut of meat I've ever had.”
“Lumiere is my favorite restaurant in Boston, sure it's not in Boston Proper, but you can't get a better meal anywhere in this city.”
“did feel like we were shunted slightly because of our age (early 20s) and that seems to happen at many a restaurant but all in all it was a terrific dining experience and we will certainly go back on our next trip to MA.”
“Terrific food, nice atmosphere, but I have rarely seen service as rude.”
“The food was excellent, though pricey; the waitstaff helpful, though there seemed to be many of them.”View Less
LOVE IT!. You can't get a better meal. The freshness and quality of this food is to die for. Take your date there to impress her without breaking the bank. It is by no means cheap, but compared to restaurants downtown, I would say 10 times better for half the price. I am a foody and this is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is always great, as is the service and ambience. If you are a meat lover, it doesn't get better than Lumiere, dry aged ribeyes, hanger steaks - ever heard of one? They're the most tasty cut of meat I've ever had. Their fish always tastes like it was caught that morning (probably was) and the chef even knows the name of the boat that catches his fish. More than food, a remarkable experience.…
Best Restaurant - Certified Green and Supports Local Farmers. Lumiere is my favorite restaurant in Boston, sure it's not in Boston Proper, but you can't get a better meal anywhere in this city. From the moment you walk into the door you are greeted by warm, smiling faces. The service is welcoming and friendly and professional. Simply thinking about Levitons cuisine makes my mouth water. You must try the seared sea scallops! Even if you are not a scallop lover you will change your mind. You can't go wrong with any choice and what impresses me most is the consistency. I've eaten at Lumiere over a dozen times and every time I am blown away. If you haven't been GO. Also they offer a fixed price menu for 40 dollars Sunday through Thursday. You get 3 courses for only $40 dollars - delicious.…
Great Restaurant Week 2008 Experience!.
Lumiere offered up the best of the Restaurant Week experience I have had. The corn soup and BLT salad were delectable. The Chatham bluefish was the best prepared bluefish I have had -- such bold,
tantalizing flavor! The blueberry shortcake was superb -- the perfect example of what shortcake should be. While I have minor criticisms of the hake (could have had bolder flavor) and the lime sorbet (could have been less tart), the meal was overall delicious and the service was polished and attentive.
Definitely visit for Restaurant Week -- note, Lumiere has an extended Restaurant Week menu.

bedsheets and waana-be french food at BIG prices. Food was OK and some even tasty, but certainly not "French" or consistently excellent. Service is spotty at times. The stuff they serves is small portions at HUGE prices. Good place, though I don't understand the bed sheets on glass. Try it, but I think it's a poor value based on price/quantity.…
BEST OF BOSTON. This isn't simply the best restaurant in MetroWest. This probably the best restaurant in the entire Boston area. On a recent trip to NYC, and wanting to sample the best that New York has to offer, we dined at Jean Georges. After waiting nearly 2 hours !!! past our reservation time for a table, the food was just OK. Returning to Boston and looking to "make-up" for that experience, we went back to Lumiere and were blown away once again. Michael Leviton is a culinary genius and I feel lucky to have Lumiere within driving distance. I'm only rating this 5 stars, but he deserves six!…
