The Scene – Located across from the aquarium and just minutes from Quincy Market, this Legal requires more of a wait than others. When the restaurant is full--which is almost always--the noise can be deafening, but such is the price one has to pay for the freshest seafood in town. Weary waiters do their best to keep happy faces while serving an endless stream of tourists. – – The Food – The excellent seafood is served in every imaginable way: Super-fresh lobster meat tops Caesar salads, while crab enhances the cheese and horseradish dip. A wood grill makes thick cuts…
Overpriced, Red Lobster

When you travel to the coast you hope to eat a great seafood dinner. This place was a joke! We ordered wine and our apppetizer and were asked not once, but four times to please place our order, long before the appetizer ever arrived. To be honest, we were waiting to see and taste the appetizer because the place reaked of the smell of FRIED fish and I was worried about the quality. Our waitress finally got rude and told us to place our order just as the appetizer was placed on the table. My husband ordered surf and turf. Yes, I know it isn't wise to order steak in a seafood place, but get real! What they called filet mignon was a chopped steak at best! I had crab legs (mostly because I was so offended at being severely rushed and I knew they would take forever to eat.) Very Dry! Hey, Legal Sea Foods. Don't claim something you cannot deliver! It just makes you look stupid!
- Pros: Average
- Cons: Bad Service, Barely Average Food
Avoid the Clam chowder
by dartmaster65
My friends and I each had a bowl of the New England Clam chowder and it was a major disappointment. One of my friends didn't even finish their bowl. The chowder had no flavor and it was watered down. I have had better clam chowder out of a can. The service was good, but I will try never try this restaurant again.
- Pros: Service was good
- Cons: The clam chowder was horrible
Best Clam Chowder in Boston and my favorite restaurant.

Ive eaten at most of the locations. The quality of the food is always consistent and the clam chowder is amazing. For lunch, try the spicy fish and chips. Its not too bad so dont worry. I took my friend here when he came to visit me from San Diego. He loved it. Had the baked scrod.
If youre visiting here for the first time, you have to come here at least once. My favorite locations are the one on the waterfront near the Aquarium and the one near Park Plaza.
