Editorial Review for Aura – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
Located within the Seaport Hotel, Aura attracts traditional diners and the happy hour crowd with its trendy dining room and separate, more relaxing lounge. The elegant restaurant menu offers plenty of surprises--the Steak & Melon appetizer combines chili-rubbed sirloin, watermelon, cashews and red pepper confit; Steak & Eggs pairs a grilled filet with a fried truffle egg. The laid-back lounge includes two televisions and a more casual menu including the Seaport Lobster Roll with tarragon and lemon-herb aioli and other bar favorites.

Insider Tips
ParkingIn the hotel garage, parking for breakfast and lunch guests is discounted ($12 up to three hours), while for dinner guests it's free.
The ExtrasIf you simply want to grab a quick drink and a bite, opt for the more casual (and less expensive) lounge area.

whoa there....there's a new sheriff in town and her name is Rache Klein. Formerly of OHM sh has brought her fabulous talents and her excellent Sous chef to Aura. A foodies delight!!! Yes the hotel still adds on 20% tip ( stupid at best) and the space is sort of grand central station with private paries to he left and bathroom priveleges to the right, but overall the experience was worth the hassle. Wait staff were knowledgeable and professional. all dishes are innovative and extroadinary from steak and eggs to steak ad yellow watermelon Best news is that there is no wait on weekends because the hotel clears out and reservations are easy ( so far) Go....you will not be disappointed with the food. We went to Aura for their fixed price pre-concert dinner. The service was some of the worst I've ever had. It took more that two hours for three simple courses and a 20% tip was added to our bill. The portions were small and the food was unremarkable. I've had much better in Boston. Overall, it was a poor experience and little value for the money. Look elsewhere.
Pros: Ground floor entrance
Cons: unremarkable food, horrible service, poor value
