Editorial Review for AMC Theatres – by Mary Morley
In Short
In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.

This theater is past its prime. It is slated to be torn down and a new theater built across from K-Mart but the development is tied up in court. Smaller screens and no stadium seating make paying $10 to see a movie difficult to do. Bus stop nearby and ample well lit parking are plusses. Also, easy access to Rte 93 and Rte 28. Better bet is Showcase Revere at Rte 60/1 interchange.
Pros: Parking, Location
Cons: Limited food selection, no stadium seating, smaller screens

I always stick to the floor in this theatre. The screens aren't in very good shape and the sound quality isn't very good.
Pros: free parking, current movies, friendly staff
Cons: dirty theatre, poor sound, screens need repair
