Sundays in the spring and summer are simply better with SoWa. The market boasts crafts, clothing, jewelry, furnishings, in addition to a farmers' market, food trucks and an antiques market. Seriously, what more do you need?

Tis the season for patio dining. Get out there and enjoy the sun at the Rattlesnake's popular and spacious patio--they've even added a separate kitchen right on the patio. Go for a drinks and bites from chef Brian Poe's weekly specials (Poe Unleashed).

When it's so warm out, it's in your best interest to avoid spending hours in your car or on the T. Get on a bike and bask in the sunshine while pedaling to your destination. Community Bike in the South End has dozens of bikes on sale and they also offer tune-ups, repairs, accessories and more.

Farmers' Markets! Finally! Luckily, May is when they come into bloom. Look out for the Dewey Square market, beginning in late May, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30am to 6:30pm.

This hidden gem located a 15-minute walk from Davis Square offers some of the most delectable cupcakes, brownies and chocolate truffles. For spring, they are now selling delicious SoCo Creamery ice cream, made locally in the Berkshires. Can you say warm brownie sundae?

The Esplanade is a gorgeous destination any day, but on May 21, the park will be packed with a few thousand people for the 18th Annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest. Enjoy live music, food and lots of freebies.

Kendall Square is the up-and-coming dining destination, with what seems like a new restaurant opening every week. Za, which started out in Arlington, just debuted an outdoor patio at their Kendall Square location. Now you can enjoy their seasonally inspired menu al fresco.
